Who here's sick of HS and can't wait to leave?

So... yeah. Who's completely sick of HS?

As a senior, I'm so tired of HS right now and I can't wait to go to college. While the schoolwork is really annoying, I'm more sick of the students than anything else. I have friends in every grade, but I'm really starting to realize how immature most of the underclassmen are. A lot of them just care about being "cool" and impressing others by being obnoxious, and they'll go to any length to achieve that goal. For example, a month ago, some freshman pulled the fire alarm two days in a row -- the first time, everyone got to stay outside for an hour and all was good. However, the second time, we went outside again, except the entire school's lunch period was taken away as "punishment and compensation" for the freshman's idiocy. Now, our school has "security measures" that make it more of a prison than a place for learning.

Of course, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and stuff (and I'll definitely miss the good moments), but all this superficial highschool BS is just really stupid. Everything these kids do is pretty much to impress others and raise their "badass" level. A lot of them really need to grow up, and it's a shame that upperclassmen will be rewarded with suspensions for putting them in their place.

feel your pain…feel your pain…

I know exactly what you mean.
I’m only a junior and I can’t wait to get out of here. T-T

I mean I hate the BS work but will miss HS soooo much once I leave. No matter how many FU days I have, my faith in my school will never waiver. These are our last years to enjoy being a kid. Don’t let some immature dudes phase you.

I feel ya. I’m a sophomore, and I feel the exact same way sometimes…but then I realize I’m gonna regret rushing through my last years as a “child”, so I should just enjoy it while I can.

Hey at least you’re a senior. I’m stuck as a junior. I too was ****ed when someone pulled the alarm in my freshman year during lunch. When I came back in, I had to wait behind hundred of other people when I was orgianally first in the line.

Yeah, I’m really tired of hs mainly because it’s one gigantic routine. Senioritis is hitting hard second semester and I’m tired of being around people i’ve known forever. Also, I’m tired of the favoritism and attention all the teachers give to one particular student. College will be a breath of fresh air.

I just want an environment with more driven classmates and stimulating class discussions…instead of being stuck in a school of apes.

heartist: Hahahaha that is so accurate. They truly are apes.

And well at least most of you are seniors, I’m only a junior! Sometimes I literally cannot handle conversations with people in my school. I just tune out a lot of my friends that are in lower level classes that only talk about their dead ends and cuticles. Thank god I found smart friends this year haha.

Ahh I was really happy to leave the judgment of a lot of high schoolers. Especially when it comes to intelligence…

The passive aggression too ;)

I’m also a senior and already accepted into college. Actually going to school doesn’t bother me since it seems to make time pass by faster but I cannot get myself to care about schoolwork!

I can’t wait to leave! Actually, I can’t wait to leave the stupid busywork behind, as well as those few people who I just hate with a passion. My friends are amazing though, and they make school worthwhile :)

I cannot WAIT to move out of my parents house though. They are just…ugh.

I’m a senior and am literally counting down the days until graduation. I go to a really small high school and have 99 kids in my grade, most of which I strongly dislike. Also, most of my friends graduated last year, so its been pretty lonely. I know I’ll miss high school, but its time to move on

the people at my school are for the most part, pretty fake. Even the really smart kids care more about their image than their friends. Needless to say, I’m ready to go to college to meet some real people. Also, getting away from my parents wouldn’t be too bad either :b

Your school may be filled with apes, but I’d hate to be stuck in a school filled with yous.

Anyways… I’m a junior and I can’t wait for it to end. Next year after the AP tests life will be good.

I recently watched a large group of students laugh hysterically at another who was screeching about his nipples.

Yes, I am ready to move on.

Aww, shucks. Relax - I kid, I kid.

Mhm, I am so ready. I can’t even bother counting down the days until senior sign out day and AP exams so I count down the days to the weekends where I can sleep in.

Such is the climate in my school that when I read “I recently watched a large group of students laugh hysterically at another who was screeching about his nipples,” I clicked on your posts to see if you went to the same HS as me. I witnessed the exact same thing.

Also, while stalking your posts, I see you’re applying to a few of the same schools as me, and your favorite band is Operation Ivy (God, I’m creepy).

I appreciate all of this.

I also appreciate everything posted in this thread, including the student screeching about his nipples, as well as:

“While the schoolwork is really annoying, I’m more sick of the students than anything else”

“Senioritis is hitting hard second semester”

“I just want an environment with more driven classmates and stimulating class discussions”

“I can’t wait to leave the stupid busywork behind”

“I cannot get myself to care about schoolwork!”

“Also, getting away from my parents wouldn’t be too bad either”

Boring/painful classes + boring/painful homework = I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE. The people are OK, I guess. My friends sleep/game/don’t pay attention/give zero ****s during class, just like me.

I’m a senior, desperately counting down until the end of the first semester, and then the end of the school year.
