50% of MSB is Finance (whether single or double majors), but you guys will soon learn that most kids are double majors in the MSB… some double major and a minor…

I plan to double major Accounting and International Business. Was thinking about Accounting and Finance and minor in Int’l business, but that sounds too much…
well having said that, i’m so nervous, 1 more week!!

I was looking at another thread and there looks like there are four other cc’ers that are applying this year to MSB. I would say that there are anywhere from 12 - 20 of us applying EA. It looks like it is going to be extraordinarily tough to get in this year. Agree?

Look on the bright side, it can’t be as competitive as SFS.
and question, did you guys ever get any confirmation letters saying that you’re application is COMPLETE?

In the MSB you cannot minor in a business subject. It’s just too easy and really add no value to your education. You can however minor in the college, sfs, and nhs. Minors in the SFS and NHS tend to be a little tricky just due to requirements and restrictions, but if you work on it they will let you, esp. the SFS, their dean’s have to be absolutely convinced for you to minor in a subject there. But its like that with the MSB, the other colleges kids have a tough time getting into business classes (esp upper level)…

Oh and no you can’t double major between schools, unless you’re in a special joint degree program (that I haven’t heard of or its very rare)… for example you can’t major in finance in the MSB and political econ in the SFS… but you can minor…

In my opinion, Finance and Accounting with a minor is the strongest combination in the MSB and also the toughest. My roommate is in the SFS and I do just as much if not more work than him, not that it means a whole lot, but the MSB is not a joke unless you purposely choose easy majors like mgmt and marketing, then its your choice and out of MSB’s control.
