please message me your AIM or email addressif you are planning on ATTENDING exeter in the fall :)

hey, im going to the revisit days, then making my final descision. what day r u going 4 ur revisit?

I already decided to go, so I dont think i ;ll be revisiting

not even to just look around, meet potential classmates and see the classes?

I decided I'm gonna go. I'm still gonna revisit, though. I have various questions. (Or my mom will...)

I'm going, but I can't miss school to go to revisit days. Plus the drive would make us stay overnight and actually miss 2 days of school!

nillyboogles; what grade? 9th?

Yup, 9th grade.

anyone see this from the past?
Nevertheless, Exeter hired him, in keeping with its "progressive" stance. It allows homosexual teachers to live in dormitories as faculty residents, and the New York Times notes that "it has many programs for making students aware of homosexual issues.'' Its principal, Kendra Stearns O'Donnell, says Exeter tries "to free students of the disabling prejudices that later in life will compromise their ability to make a difference," listing "homophobia" among such prejudices.

I don't know what "this" is, but Exeter indeed has one of the most supportive environments for students who are gay or questioning. Many many students (straight and gay) choose Exeter because of its diversity and the ability to leave the attitudes of more insular places behind.

this was teacher who was known homo arrested for sex with male student

Oi, vay!! Scandalous...
Anyway...the diversity doesn't bother me! It's actually one of the reasons why I'm attracted to Exeter. So, yes- to answer your question- I definitely AM GOING to Exeter. lol. I just sent in my registration and stuff the other day!!

There is a vast difference between homosexuality and pedophilia. I can't imagine Exeter hiring a teacher who--straight or gay--was found to have had sex with a child, or who was found to have crossed any sexual boundaries with a student. Do you have the link?

I agree that it's pretty unbelievable. However, I feel that it's really just the mistakes of the individuals and not the school. How could the school screen that through job interviews? I don't know, maybe there is a method, but from the interviews I've had, I feel that people can hide facts very easily.

I'M GOING TO EXETER!!!
freshman (or prep, as they like to call it)
:D

Yeah, Exeter's pretty accepting toward gays and homosexuals. There's a group called the Gay/Straight Alliance there.

I'M GOINGG. hehe. its gross about the affair part, but the diversity of exeter is like my main reason for wanting to go. at my school everyone is pretty much exactly the same. i can't wait to meet people who are different from me. i'm going up on March 31st. will i see any of you then??

im going march 31st too! were u accepted 4 9th grade?

yes i am going for 9th grade.

yup, I'm a "prepling" too...Do you think Texans will be treated nicely there? Cuz I might have the annoying habit of saying ya'll...which is a real word btw. And who's going to visit exeter on April 3? Will have to miss school..BUT OH WELL!! :D

Yeah, Going to Exeter in '09, but I had my sister and brother going to Andover then Duke and Harvard
