ey testa im gonna learn how to surf too. im really excited. i also like sports and betting and playing cards(poker). aha i hope i find more people like me to be freinds with next year

Hi, I'm 5 feet (and proud!), female, atypical Asian. I love the beach, I live in Orange Country right now. I want to go to UCSB because it seems like the right mix of academics and fun for me. I've gone up to that area to see shows and such recently and I absolutely love it. I play piano and I sing, I love music and plan to minor or even double major in it. I'm into indie/folk stuff. The majority of my friends are shaggy haired, white boy guitarists so I hope I can find some similar friends up there! Haha, but no really, I get along with pretty much everyone. :)
I'm gonna be majoring in pre-bio. PM me for my facebook if you'd like! :D

I'm from Nor Cal, and I am going to UCSB as a biochem major, I will be in party scene every weekend....

Hey guys,

My name's Emily. I'm 18 and 5'6", asian! I'm from the Diamond Bar/Walnut area... I went to Diamond Bar High School, but dropped out after junior year. Got my GED, started college at Mt.SAC. Transferring to UCSB fall of 2009 as a college junior. Majoring in Statistics with an actuarial science concentration. Kind of nervous about going to UCSB. Whole new surrounding, new people, new everything! Hoping to make a bunch of new friends! I went to Spring Insight last year, saw the school. It's GORGEOUS! If you guys haven't been there, you'll totally love it! I'm just hoping to make some new friends!

I think testarosso is pretty much the only one who has said he likes to party....haha

Well, let's make that two people then... Because i love to party!!!!

I recently got accepted to UCSB, and I'm definitely going. I am a guy and I'm 6', around 160 pounds (athletic/slim built). I'm half black/half white (yes haha, though most people ussually think I'm white on first sight/the way I act). I may be half black, but my hair is straight and my features are mostly white haha, just a permanent tan.

Anyways, yah I was interested in UCSB ever since visiting it on halloween 2 years ago and seeing the amazing parties in Isla Vista. I wanted to go to a college with a good party scene, but also a good education. I'm likely going to major in business economics or political science, because I'm planning on going to law school and eventually becoming a politician.

Yee Yee

Im 6'2, white, surfer. I got accepted into UCSD, Cal Poly SLO, and UCSB for Engineering. Im still waiting on Notre Dame. I am almost 90% sure im going to SB. Its a sick school, seems like a good balance of school and fun. I got a 4.27 in high school, but classes were the hard and didnt study that much. Im hoping at santa barbara i will not be stressed out and can kinda take it easy and learn alot at the same time. Im from san diego and hope the waves up there are more shredable than down here, also hopefully there will be alot of hotties

@Clee09 :D

hey you! i think its you... but if its not you then oops wrong person.. but im pretty sure its you...

go to UCSB its Funner...its closer to UCSD

TNE

THIENYYYYYYYYY! :D Girl, you know. Muahahha. I'm definitely leaning towards ucsb a little more than cal poly, but I still want to visit both to be completely sure. :) If you go to SD and I go to SB we'd be closer.

haha
just use myspace or facebook so we can actually see faces of whose going to UCSB, instead of saying im blah blah

Well, I'm a white freckled red-headed girl, and very...un-stereotypical haha :P I'm a complete nerd in any way that matters--I play video games with the best of 'em and watch Star Trek in my free time, and still have time to pull off an A in HL Math (most of the time heh)--and I write a lot of fiction and poetry. Planning to major in English or possibly go in to the Literature at College of Creative Studies.

Being honest, though, UCSB was pretty low on my list. I wanted to go to Davis and got rejected (admissions were a ***** this year, apparently), but I'm starting to take a liking to the idea slowly :) Hopefully I'll fit in at least a bit there. I'm a little awkward and antisocial when it comes to new people, and I don't do much "crazy" partying or sports or anything like that, but maybe going here will be a nice change. :)

Alphacdjkr -- I'm from west covina too! I go to South Hills High School.

My name is Ashlee, I'm 17, 5'4, and Vietnamese. I'm not much into the party scene, but I'll definitely give it a shot. I've been in Colorguard for 4 years.. & our school is nationally ranked in cg and we practice over 20 hours a week.. So I wasn't doing THAT well in school, but I'm happy with UCSB =) I actually surround myself with a bunch of asians, so being at UCSB will be different. I'm from the LA area, about two hrs away from ucsb. I'm hoping to find my soulmate in sb.. that's right, I'm a romantic.. HA. I am also on prom court, but I don't know if that says much haha. I have a facebook, myspace, whatever and I'd love to meet new friends early so if you want it I'll message it to you and we can start being friends! & I don't know anyone from my school who is going there.. =[

Haha whoa! Is that so..? Perhaps since you're so close it would really be that much easier to be friends :D

If you go to Spring Insight we'll probably see each other. :D

emilybaybay, look into pstat 160 series , very interesting classes

I am not entering UCSB, I am leaving since I graduated as off March 20th at 9:30 when I got out of my last final

I am 6' half white/asian that transferred from MT Sac 2 years ago. I will be employed with an accounting firm starting in fall - biz econ and accounting major - but I am continually looking for something different and capital to start my restaurant. I loved my time there. I was not a party animal, however i did get myself into trouble a few times. People are in love with psychedelics. Santa Ynez is a peaceful, cheap place to live. If you are not a science or eng major, head over to the other side of campus and get a delicious crepe. Apply to be a CSO, it is an easy well paying job that mainly has night hours. You team with the police to offer escorts, control crowds around ambulances, etc - essentially you get paid to do minimal work - so just stay up and study. Take advantages of meetings on campus because this = free food. Econ majors and others, look into the TMP program.

I am 18 years old, gonna be 19 in college I'm old. I'm going to be coming in as a freshman. I'm really short, 4 feet 10 inches. I'm middle eastern. I love video games and action movies. I'm a total bibliophile. I'm entering as a bio-major. I wanted to go to UCSD but got rejected T_T. But now UCSB is looking better and better each day.

i'm 18 and a 5'3 azn girl. i got rejected at uci ,where most of my friends are going :( so now im going to go to ucsb. i dont know anyone going to ucsb so im nervous about attending there but i hope i make make some new friends! um... im quiet and shy but i like to make friends, and i dont like the whole party scene. i'm pretty much very azn, love azn music, food, dramas, etc. hopefully i can meet ppl who are like me :) oh! and im entering as a comp sci major

I'm still waiting to hear back from some schools, but SB is near the top of my list. I got into the college of creative studies literature department, but i'm also eligible for the letters and sciences honors program. I haven't decided which direction I'm going yet; either way I'm doomed to a worthless liberal arts degree, haha.

Umm, let's see. Name's Paula, I'm 17, blonde, kind of short-ish, and I'm from Walnut Creek. I'm a pretty social, outgoing person, and I like to dance so you'll probably see me down in Isla Vista every once in a while. ;) Although I wouldn't say I'm a party-animal or anything, I just like to have fun, and I can easily have just as much fun chilling with friends and hanging out at the beach and stuff. I like to vary my routine so I don't get bored.

I play some water polo and wouldn't mind continuing (at a non-competitive sort of level). I also enjoy reading, writing, and I'm into music (anything from classic rock to more modern indie/alternative stuff).

The names Richard. I am currently attending La Puente High School in La Puente, California. Yes, I am a Chinese American living in a dominant Latin community. UCSB was my 2nd choice, UCI being my first. But I am going to attend UCSB since I got rejected from UCI. I applied as a Computer Science major, but got in as Undeclared. I am actually surprised I got into any UCs with my stats (3.0 GPA, SAT I - 1650, SAT II US Hist. - 520, and Math II - 570). I blame my poor stats on World of Warcraft. I game pretty much 24/7, until recently. I play tennis and do plan to play once in a while during college. Since all I used to do was play WoW, my friends considered me anti-social :D.

HEY ashleebeezy

i'm in colorguard also! and planning to go to UCSB too
i've watched your guys' show at least 3-4 times..
i'm in scholastic A division (wilson high school) but we just moved up just like you guys moved up to open so scores are..somewhat okay

i am right now like 80% sb and 20% cal poly
