Who is still deciding between UCLA and Cal?

@JewBacca‌

Yeah, it’s her lol

Yay! We’re all redditors!

@calbro‌

I’m not, lol

I’m above that. [-(

reddit is the best.

@Cayton‌

lol, college confidential is your turf.

@CollegeDropout1‌

I believe AnthroFlo said she wasn’t considering Cal for grad school because they only offered a Ph.D. in Anthropology. Attending for undergrad would be her only chance to experience Berkeley.

I chose UCLA but i still feel like I didn’t make the right decision. Sorry if it seems like I’m complaining. Im not, but I’m just unsure

@randombookie‌

Well, what are your priorities? Depending on those priorities and commitments you may have, UCLA may or may not be the best choice for you.

What’s your major? Which UC is closer? Have you visited the two schools? if so, how did you feel about them?

@Cayton, Some of my priorities are just to be happy and do well academically.
My major is psych, so both schools are great
UCLA is closer
I visited the schools, and i liked Cal better than UCLA but i thought UCLA was a better fit yet I don’t feel that special something at UCLA

Whatever decision you guys make - make it, and never look back. Either school is awesome. No matter what happens, don’t look back, and think, “what if I had chosen the other school”. Your life is front of you, not behind you. Good luck!

@randombookie‌

Listen to @2016candles advice in this case. You’ll be fine at either school.

I suggest that you weigh the options carefully and try to determine for yourself which school would be better for you to attend—you only have several hours to decide!

@2016candles, thank you, that’s great advice
@Cayton, thanks for the great advice. I’ll be thinking about it intently

@AnthroFlo‌, have you made your decision yet?

@AnthroFlo‌

Hopefully you’ve made up your mind by now. The deadline is midnight—for real this time!

@AnthroFlo You should just submit two SIR’s, one for each school. It will be a while until the UC system finds out. You will literally be buying more time. This is what I am going to do in case I change me mind.

@CollegeDropout1 Bad idea. The UCs will find out pretty soon if she does that.

@Cayton
@CollegeDropout1

I already sent the SIR to both schools last night.
I’m going to call to cancel one sometime this week.
I don’t mind “buying” more time but the thing is, I still have to decide today anyway.
Cal requires you to fill out the orientation form today and it cost money to go. I would also have to fill out the housing form for UCLA, which also costs money.

If I do all of this, I’m going to dig myself into a financial hole before I even start uni.

@Cayton Someone on here did that, and they said it was a while until the UC system found out. I don’t think any thing bad will have in she makes her decision in a few more days. Plus he also said the when they found out, he only received a letter telling him he had to retract one SIR.

@AnthroFlo‌

I thought the housing application for UCLA was due today by 4:00pm.

You get your housing assignment for UCLA this week (I think where you will be staying) and I think the application closes today. Berkeley you have to pay for CalSO. I’d personally just pick one and stick to it, you are always going to have doubts anyways.

@ocnative‌
Well, in that case :p
