I guess I am. I have too much going on to take it in Oct (I am fully capable, I just don't want to get lower.. I want to improve my score by at least 100 points).

What is everyone's plan to improve?

I am also taking it in November. I'm hoping two months is enough..I'm going for a 700 pt increase in total, so I have a lot of work to do. @@;; I got a 1550 on my first try, and I'm aiming for a 2300+ when I take it for the second and last time. I was originally going to take it in October, and then take SAT IIs in November, but I slacked off when it came to studying in the summer (Xx I don't know why; it was just so hard to sit down and study! I was full of encouragement before, but now..eeh). So yeah, this is what I want to do.

The only problem is that I have SO many materials to study from that it's so hard to organize my time. I have yet to design a study plan for the amount of time I have each day. I'm homeschooled, so I only have 7-8 hrs of study time in the morning, and in the afternoon, I have to do my schoolwork. >_o;

I'm so worried that I'll get lower than what I got the first time..I feel like 56 days aren't a whole lot, but it's the only time I have. I was thinking of changing my test date to DECEMBER if my scores are looking bleak for me in the middle of October, but then that'll ruin my chances with Princeton since I have horrible SAT II scores in my record right now.

D: Life is miserable.

Garden Maiden, I'm pretty sure when you first came to this forum and told everyone about your study plan, and how badly you wanted to increase your score. First realize if you really want to devote a piece of your life to studying, because a 700 point increase is possible by all means, however, it's going to take a **** load of work/studying. And I'd advise you to take the test whenever your practice test scores are near where you'd want them to be.

Another means of encouragement can simply be realizing how euphoric you will feel after finding out you got a 2300, as well as the major benefits of the score. Princeton would love it.

Hey, I am taking it in novembor. My problem is I can get to 2100 but I cannot move further even after lot of practice. I need around 2300 too. Which book do u people use for vacab? How do u approach critical reading? How do u tackle odd idiomatic expressions in writing?

there's oct, nov, then what else?

i'm trying to decide when to take it (for the first time, i'm a jr) and have the best result.

i'm going to a prep class in NY tomorrow morning and it's the first session. the last session is somewhere in december. so after the classes are over, i hope to engage myself in CB prep book and study on my own a little. but idk how long it'll take for me to feel confident. cuz right now, i feel really bleak about my situation. plus this yr will be mad hard w/all the infamous (the good AND the bad) teachers i have.

can someone tell me all the SAT dates? i'd really appreciate (guess i'm lazy to look it up). oooy

I'm taking it in November...

Im taking November. Watch out b/c this badasss is going to throw off that curve ;)

I think I got a 2030 first time. I told myself I was going to study over the summer for the October date but I never did lmao. So yeah I am scared of taking it in September for fear of doing worse. I want to get atleast a 2100 (that would be nice) or atleast get in the 1400 range (for verbal and math). So here I go. I'm taking it in November, day before my birthday and hopefully I'll do well so I'll at least have a slim chance to get into the ivy leagues.

Well....I'm taking SAT IIs in November.......lol........

Keane Fan.......they have a test date in september??? you sure????

Wow avik224, I made a mistake, I meant OCTOBER!!
