same…

2nd time.
Aiming for 2100-2200… although it wouldn’t hurt to get a 2200+.

Will probably be taking it a third time.
x_X

im taking it for the first time… i’m a little nervous
-_-;;;

Don’t worry it’ll be my first time also.

^&^^ what are you guys aiming for? :)

I’m aiming for 2300+ because I am applying to Ivy schools…

Also, my CR dramatically increased from 680 to 750 in one week…THANK YOU GOD!!!

I’m taking it for the first time, hoping for at least a 2150-2200. If I get above a 2250(not likely), I’m done. On the last practice test I did I got a 2210, but I took like a 10 minute break between each section to do homework.

^^ By Jove, how did you do that? (Increase your CR score like THAT!)

I took like a practice section everyday and memorized Gruber’s roots, prefixes, suffixes, and looked over some other vocabulary.

I also analyzed the questions I got wrong. Another factor is that I tried to look for the main idea of the passage.

Overall, I’m not really sure. It somehow clicked in my mind. Actually, I thought I made an 800 on CR after I finished the test, but I missed some easy questions.

I hope I can keep steady and reach 800.

damn 70 point increase within a week good job…lol i wished i could even get a freaking 600 on CR /fail

I’m taking it! Ahh, I’m nervous. Everyone around here only takes the ACT so my school doesn’t offer any test prep or anything. And I haven’t really done anything on my own either :/

I got a 33 on the ACT, so hopefully I’ll get something close to equivalent for that on the SAT.

^ A 33 ACT is equivalent to about a 1470 Composite SAT Score, which is pretty darn good.

@Quicksandslowly - Thumbs up to you! I’m impressed. I wish I could do that. (This week?) Hm.

@summer
Please don’t take it for the sake of taking it.If you are very nervous, you will ruin your score.Take several practice tests and aim for the June or oct SAT.
Just my two cents.

@Feed you can definitely do it.If you are scoring around 700 in cr, you can easily push your score to 750 range.Keep practicing and you will see a dramatic improvement. After 700,critical reading is more about increasing your concentration than it is about intrinsic abilities.

^ I’m scoring a high 600 on the practice tests. ![]()
But thanks for the encouraging words. :)

May I ask how you did on the SAT? (I guess I already have).

What’s your main deficiency? Is it vocab or reading?

I scored 700 but I am retaking it.Hoping to score above 750.

Actually, it’s both.
I tend to miss 2-4 SC questions, and 3-5 reading ones.
I don’t think I can really prepare for the vocab ones; I’m bound to encounter a word I don’t know.
As for the reading, well, I guess I just need to practice more.
I’ve definitely improved though. (I started with a stubborn 500).

I got a 690 CR on my March SAT (suprisingly!)…
Good luck! Your goal is pretty realistic. :)

You are doing very well in reading.More practice will do it.
Good luck to you too

I’m taking it for the first time this week and I am extremely scared. I keep hitting 600+ on math but barely hitting 600 on CR and W and my goal is to get at least a 650+ on all three of the sections. Note, I have done 4 practice tests so far.

me me me! i haven’t started studying until yesterday, so, uh, for the last week ill be studying^^

havent taken sats before…last time i can do so this year!!
