Who is taking May 3rd SATS?

It’s my first time taking it too. I’m nervous about how long it is. I have a feeling I’ll get incredibly tired and bored in the middle of it and not spend as much time as I should. But hopefully I’ll do well. I didn’t spend a bunch of time studying but did look over the practice tests. I just don’t want to get too freaked out about it, I’m trying not to think about it. Good luck to everyone!!!

Why did I decide it was a good idea to take the SAT tomorrow? Tomorrow might have been the worst day for me to take it! The past two weeks have been so hectic that I haven’t studied at all. (Can’t forget AP exams next week. But you all have those too.) So here I am with no practice tests or book to study from. At this point should I even bother to do any last minute prep?

I’m taking it for the first time tomorrow

For anyone looking to really boost their writing MC score, I’ve found sparknotes’ “7 deadly screwups” to be really helpful

I agree with shuffle.
I’ve been on a lot of Pro-Tibet demonstrations (nothing against you Chinese folks…), so didn’t have much time to learn for the SAT.
Good luck to all of you though, lets hope its easy…

Two hours to go! I’m just worried about the essay…

Two hours? I assume you’ll be getting a different essay from those of us in the US.

Probably, yeah. Does everyone taking the SAT at a particular test center get the same questions?

@Green1 - Thanks for the tip about the Sparknotes guide. Very helpful. :)

^ It’s probably the same questions (at least in the same room) but they mix around the test sections (excluding the essay).

Like the 1st section for everyone would be the essay.
And then the 2nd section for person A would be a Math section while the 2nd section for person B would be a CR section.

See what I mean?

Good luck! (I think you’re already taking the SAT right now?)

dudddddeeee i shoulda done bluebook problems earlier. they are SO much easier than test prep company’s questions!

Me. Retaking. Hoping for a 2000+. The way I see it, I got a 1920 the first time, then a 30 on my ACT (1980 ish), so by that, I should get 2040! (In my dreams.)

Taking it for the first time in about 12 hours now. Guess us in PST will be among the last to take. Besides Hawaii/Alaska, I suppose.

Good luck everyone!

@Feed - Yep, that was how it was.

As for the exam itself, it was (mostly) easy. Didn’t leave anything blank, and guessed 2-3 questions. Also I’m glad I took my TI-89. Very helpful.

How’d you do on the essay?

I don’t think I did well enough for a 6+6. My examples were relevant, but sorta dull, too. Maybe a 8 or 10 on 12? Don’t really know.

Oh and I’m not supposed to tell people the essay topic, right?

No ;)

.

Heh, okay. Are you taking the SAT…today?

Yep, it’s 6am now, leaving in an hour :)'

Getting really nervous now >.>

Ah, all the best. Where in the world are you?

I’m taking the SAT in about 2 hours… and I can’t sleep.
But thanks for saying it was easy. Pretty encouraging. :)

(Of course I don’t know your definition of ‘easy’… but yea).
