05-06, 06-07? send them my way quad

I don't think so. I know SAT reuses the same 2 tests, but I don't know about ACT.

Sorry I don't have the 07-08 one. I never really went looking since i had already taken it. I tried for a couple minutes though and I didn't find anything.

i'm taking it in september! hope to improve from 28 to 30+

thnx yea i already took 07-08

i am. im gonna be a senior i got a 23 but on my latest practice tests im gettin 27s just gotta work on my essays and reading

what practice books are you guys using?
PR seems to be really bad, so many typos.

I'm taking it in September too! Ahh I'm kinda excited because I'm actually doing really decent on the ACT's waaay better than SAT's (it's probably cuz I'm studying like crazy). I still have to work on Reading Section though...Getting too many headaches over studying lol

yep taking it in september...
I'm getting nervous...my english/math/reading are all in the mid to high 30's...but I need some serious help with the science section (around a 28)

any suggestions? books?

i have the same exact problem as bloog.
the science section ruins my score, and i have no idea how to improve. i have gone through 2 books before taking my 1st ACT and got the same science score as i did on my 1st practice ACT.

yeah, I'm trying for it again. Hoping to go from a 33 to a 35. Wish me luck. sigh. It's the science section that messes with me.

I'm a first time taker, and I'm going to another state to take it. I'm hoping for a 34+.

I'm going to be a first time taker in October (because my state does not offer September). I heard it's a lot easier than the SAT's. Is that true??? I got a 2240 on my SAT's and I'm hoping to get above a 34 on the ACTs. Possible?

It depends on your definition of a lot easier. Its is much easier to achieve one of the higher scores. And you probably will miss less questions on the test. But missing 10 questions on the ACT will not be equivalent to missing 10 on the SAT. And a higher score on the ACT will not equal a higher score on the SAT.

A 34 is comparable to a 2260 SAT. That means the percentage of people getting those 2 scores were comparable.

Expecting it to be easier to get a 34 than to get a 2260 is a stupid sentiment. But if you got a 2240, then a 34 is possible. If you actually try to learn a bit about the test, then you could get that will little effort.

What's the best way to learn about the ACT ?

ItalianLaxPlayer: Whether you think one is easier than the other depends on what you struggle with. I struggle with time (especially with the science section), so ACT is a bit more challenging. But yeah, I got a 2250 and got a 34 on the ACT, so I guess those scores are fairly similar as far as percentages of ppl getting what. It may be supposedly easier to achieve higher scores, but I feel like then the standards for the ACT are just higher (34 was top 1% this past year). Plus, I don't think you can directly compare the Reading section of the ACT to that of the SAT. The tests just feel different. I have a lot more trouble with ACT reading than SAT reading (I'd tell you what I got in the reading sections, but if I did I'd feel like I was being a prick).

I'm taking in Sept and possibly Oct.

Want to go from 29 to 31. I have no problem getting between 32-35 on the English and Math, but I always get 23-26 on the Reading and Science. Frustrating really.

With a 31 I think I'd have a great shot at WashU ED, because I'm a first gen college student, I'm in line to be salutuatorian of my class, and I have impressive work experience. I trade my own money in stocks, futures, options, etc. and I work at an investment bank (slight hook maybe?)

I was also thinking I might take the SAT in Oct. I got a 186 on the PSAT with an 80 math (50 CR reading comprehension is my achilles heel). I think maybe the individual math score might stand out a little more with the SAT.

whos going to have to leave their states for this? I am....:(

Thanks :) I'm taking both the SAT's (again) and the ACT's in October so hopefully I can score higher on the SAT's and get a gd grade on the ACT's.

Taking it for the 4th time, hopefully I can raise my 28, which I've gotten the last three times, to 30+

I'm taking it too! Hopefully my science score could improve...
