A sophomore who’s in AP Physics C - Electricity and Magnetism, and has to take Independent Study for math because he took Calculus III LAST year. He’s also very successful in Student Congress and L.D. Debate, the best Quiz Bowler on our team, insanely good at Science Olympiad, and a beast at the violin. Needless to say, he always places first/second at math competitions, and once placed 7th in the nation at some big math competition.

Given his incredible intelligence, you might expect him to be some antisocial freak, but he’s not. People like him in general (although he’s loud, admittedly very funny, so some find him annoying), and he’s practically BFF with all of the guys on our Forensics/Quiz Bowl/SciOly team.

He is a freaking genius. :)

I see him every time I look in the mirror. OH WAIT. It’s me! I’m also incredibly handsome and I’ve had more girlfriends than the number of digits in pi, which I know the last digit to.

I went out with an IMO gold medalist. Best part was he was really laid-back and didn’t care about grades.

I wonder why these types of threads at some point get to a semi-discussion about me.

^ because you’re a high-profile CC user

Me, Myself, and I

meaning i don’t really now very many smart ppl…lmao

You know, I don’t know how to react to that. I’m not sure what to make of it.

^ just nod and smile

MIT sometimes you’re better off not talking

Sometimes you’re better off not existing.

oooh diss.

Back to what I said… Ha

Wait didn’t he get around an 1800 on his SAT? How don’t think “every” CC’er considers him smart…

Eh, my SAT could’ve been better if I actually didn’t goof off during the test, and thought about my AP Exam.

But I don’t let scores validate me being smart

MIThopeful16:

Yeah I could have gotten into Thomas Jefferson if I hadn’t goofed off during the test

Eh, my SAT could’ve been better if I actually didn’t goof off during the test

Coincidence?

Smartest KID I know is my friend Ben, who lets out rather large sighs when people ask questions in class and prevent us from moving on. He’s unfortunately VERY arrogant. Otherwise, he’s a good, normal guy.

Smartest adult… I don’t know, most of my AP teachers seem intelligent (besides AP Psych who I think just wants to come off as that way.) My dad is pretty close to the top, if not #1. He’s just one of those guys that could have done anything and been great at it.

The smartest person I know may be my 7th and 8th grade honors science teacher.

He just blows you away at his mastery of physics and astronomy.

don’t you guys have anything better to do than hate on a poor lost soul :(

What can I say, I let my overconfidence get the best of me on tests such as those. I do goof off. I am smart.

And on the TJ I did score in the 80s and 90s for both math and verbal.

But this thread isn’t about me, if you want to take shots at me, go ahead. Give me more fuel.

Honestly, I know way too many smart students at my school to name a smartest. They’re all amazing at different areas, and it’s hard to coin a smartest.

Same goes for teachers. However, I have to say my IB Math teacher and my Pre-IB Chem teacher were brilliant.
