The most notable for me personally are the various hockey players:

Martin St. Louis
Tim Thomas
Patrick Sharp
Viktor Stalberg
John Leclair
Torrey Mitchell

And a few members of Phish:

Trey Anastasio (guitarist)
Mike Gordon (bassist)

Others:

Ben Affleck (dropout)
Grace Coolidge (first lady)
Larry Gardner and Ray Collins (baseball players)
Consuelo Northrup Bailey (first woman admitted to practice before the supreme court)

President Ford
James Earl Jones
Lucy Liu
The entire Apollo 15 crew
Larry Page
Tom Brady
Michael Phelps (dropout)
Charles Woodson
Desmond Howard
Madonna
Mike Wallace
The unibomber
Stephen Ross
Charles Walgreen (founded walgreen’s)
Tons of F500 CEO/CFO’s
Tony Fadell (invented the iPod)
William Mayo (founded mayo clinic)

Off the top of my head: Ken Jeong (The Hangover, Community, Knocked Up, Pineapple Express), Mike Posner, Hiroshi Hoketsu (Japanese equestrian rider; competed in Olympics), and Nick McCrory (Olympics diver).

Edit: Oops, didn’t notice that another Duke person already posted.

Pat Summitt and Peyton Manning probably. But Cormac McCarthy and Min Kao, the CEO of Garmin, graduated from here too. And the guy who started up Ruby Tuesday apparently.

Big thumbs up to the reference of the NHL players. Not often that hockey graces CC.

Anyway, for USC it’s hard to say but I’d put Neil Armstrong and Will Ferrell among those at the top. For sports I’d say Reggie Bush and Troy Polamalu for football and Randy Johnson and Barry Zito for baseball probably.

Our high school has had the same 2 famous alumna for quite a while now: Kerri Walsh and Brandi Chastain.
