The total GPA is not impressive for NU, but you said that there was a substantial, and explainable, dip in your sophomore year. What were your grades like your junior year, and how are you doing so far this year? That might make all the difference.

2.9 to 4.0

this year is a 4.5 so far

But yea, freshman year wasnt too bad, sophomore it dropped alot. Junior I got about a 4, and this semester, hopefully I will get the 4.5

4.5 out of what?

I see lots of courses in social sciences and quantitative areas, but what about science and language? Are you strong in just a few areas, or are you well-rounded academically?

It looks like you have a strong transcript if you exclude your explainable sophomore slump. Have you taken SATs, or are you going with just the ACT?

I suspect that you are a very viable candidate, but that it could go either way, because NU simply has so many comparably strong applicants that there is no room for everyone who is theoretically qualified.

4.5/4 (weighted GPA), I am taking Honors Chem as well this year. I took a life science class at UCLA which I received a B in. I'm only going with my ACT. I speak 3 fluent languages. (English, French, Arabic) I would like to think i'm well-rounded academically.

What was your unweighted GPA in each year?

Sophomore 2.9, Junior 3.75
