Not doing too well on the math practice tests. Getting 560/590 with tons of omitted answers. I ordered Gruber's SAT Complete Workbook or whatever, since that's what I hear helps, but I don't know for sure. I have a Barron's Math Workbook, but it looks ridiculously harder than the BB math sections. I haven't gone over the math sections or anything for that matter besides checking to understand why I was unable to answer certain problems on Collegeboard's website (often things I just wasn't able to tell and could just not begin the problem...like realizing something was perpendicular to a base in a 3D triangle thing). Then again, I suppose the actual math SAT's are a little harder. I've only taken 2 bluebook practice tests. First time, 1940 (560 M, 650 CR,730 W). Second time, 2120 (590 M, 800 CR, 730 W). I haven't studied anything yet because I don't know what is worth my time and what isn't. The student-response questions just own me so badly. I can rarely get a level 5 question. Medium I'm okay-ish with. What are some good math prep sources I can use so that I should be ready for the SAT math section? My only goal is to hit 700 in this section at best. My testing date is November 6th.

I’d recommend starting with Gruber’s (as you said) then supplementing with Barron’s. If you practice these books extensively, you should be good to go. However, a tutor might not be a bad idea IF you can pinpoint your specific weaknesses and then hire a tutor to work on only those because you will save money that way.
