Just curious. Someone posted that Rose did not have much to offer in terms of Athletics. I thought they had a strong athletic program and great facilities for a small school. I also thought that the location of the school was a positive when considering that the workload at the school was heavy and the fewer outside influences the better.

RHIT is on a very pretty campus on the outskirts of a not-very-exciting Indiana city. One of its strengths is that it’s focused on undergrads doing projects and hands on experience with great support from an interested, enthusiastic, and highly qualified faculty. I know someone who was head of R&D for GE/Thompson and he said he could really see a difference in the engineers they hired out of RHIT. They hired from many engineering schools, including Purdue, and he felt that the RHIT grads knew how to jump in and start problem solving as well as having a very good body of knowledge, etc.

And they do have tons of sports teams - football, wrestling, basketball, etc. Very nice facilities.

Two questions: is it possible to be hired as a computer science major outside of the midwest? Second, will my son become a republican if he goes there?

There are quite a few RHIT grads at Microsoft in Redmond, so yes, your son can get a job outside of the midwest graduating form Rose.

Whether or not your son becomes a republican is up to your son.
