so i just read that less than 75% of students live on campus (since they're actually making a goal to have 75% live on campus). does the somewhat low percentage (i thought it would be at least high 80's or 90's) affect campus life at all? well i know reed has a vibrant social life, but i'm just making sure.

Well, all freshmen live on campus, with few exceptions, and even off campus people live mostly very close to campus, and spend much of their time there. I think some students would be able to talk more about it, but my Reedie and I pretty much agree that Reed doesn't feel like a "commuter campus" the way some schools do. Off-campus Reed students still spend much of their days on campus, and on-campus students frequently attend parties and social things off campus. My impression is that the line between on and off campus is very blurred, and that the community is not negatively affected by the off campus ratio.
