And what is the GPA requirement for Dean's list at your school?

At my school it's a 3.4.

And what is the GPA requirement for Dean's list at your school?

At my school it's a 3.4.

Cum Laude is 3.5-3.64, Magna Cum Laude is 3.65-3.79, and Summa Cum Laude is 3.8-4.0 at my school. Somehow I got a 4.0 without doing anything this semester so I was Summa Cum Laude. Yay state university!

Cum Laude at my school is a 3.9, to say nothing of magna and summa cum laude. lolfail

deans list is 3.5 with 12 graded credits… i made it! ^^

Dean’s list at my school is 3.5 with at least 12 credits. I think I made it, but my unofficial transcript doesn’t have my GPA calculated for some reason.

Made the Dean’s Honor Roll/List with at least 3.75 my freshman year. Said goodbye to my GPA first semester sophomore year. :(

3.5/15 credits here. Made it with a 3.8, my highest GPA so far… no idea how, not asking any questions.

Deans List and whatever cum laude all don’t matter unless its for self glorification and boosting egos. considering they all have GPA cutoffs, why not just list your freaking GPA?

Hey, isn’t that cum laude thing only for graduations? There’s no scholarships or financial aid associated with these things are there?

Of course it doesn’t really matter, but I think we can all agree that it feels pretty good to be on the Dean’s List and have a fancy Latin term attached to your name. It’s pretty much just listed on your diploma, but hey, it’s still an achievement. Don’t be such a downer. This site isn’t full of people bragging about their accomplishments, and that’s just fine.

I’m pretty sure they don’t list Dean’s List on your diploma. And you guys (most likely) aren’t getting any latin honors for individual semesters, that is almost always a cumulative college thing. It’s nice to be on pace for the latin honors by doing well enough in an individual semester to have the requisite gpa, but it’s still something you need to devote your entire college career to getting.

None the less, it’s now 5 of 5 semesters now on the Dean’s List. After the first few times, it’s not really a big deal anymore.

I made it to the Loser’s list

Minimum- 12 credits with 3.5.

4th semester in a row I’ve made it. I just think it’s funny because our dean will write us handwritten letters to congratulate us (yay for small RCs!).

^ sounds like the dude has too much time on his hands. or maybe he has John McCain fingers when it comes to computers.

^ Nah. It’s something that we could all picture him doing. He is fine with computers, he just likes the personalization. He started our RC so he likes to be very involved with everything. He teaches classes, runs workshops, the whole shebang.

shrugs

Dean’s List is 3.5. President’s List is 4.0. I got a letter from the President when I made a 4.0 last fall, nothing for Dean’s List in the spring or this semester.

I got a 3.77 with 12 units (3.87 cumulative) but I have no idea how to check if I made dean’s list.

I made it with a 3.97, (A-'s suck)

1st semester freshman year, i got a 3.93 and didn’t make the deans list… heartbreaker… lol

Dean’s list is 3.25, I made it.

I think the Dean List’s at my school is at least a 3.5. I made it with a 3.89. Woohoo! :D
