I just moved to my dorm last week and i was shocked that the restrooms were co-ed. lol never heard of that one before. How do you guys feel about it? and you girls?

Not a big deal. At first, I thought I wanted an all girls floor, but after I moved in and shared bathrooms, it became perfectly normal.

don’t worry about it, it’s just like any other restroom. It’s not like people go around naked in a single sex bathroom… they aren’t going to do that in a co-ed bathroom either

Your bathrooms at home are coed, respect each other’s privacy.

Unless you’re an only child, you should be used to this. It’s just like sharing a bathroom with your siblings, only you have a LOT of siblings.

You go to Berkeley and you said “new?”

i lived in the dorms last year and I remember people having sex in the showers. Good times

The only place bathrooms aren’t coed is in Stern (where you have to announce your presence if you are not female). Everywhere else to my knowledge, you are allowed to go into the bathroom even if it a single-gender floor

ya i’m in an all-male floor and there are girls in the bathrooms every now and then. you get used to it pretty fast.

u get used to it real fast. last year, people in my floor would just walk through the hall with their towels on.
and if ur a guy, girls will be *****ing about u using their stalls

it’s normal don’t worry about it

Oh I know! I haven’t had any weird run-ins yet, but it’s bound to happen…

mikecerang, what building are you in for the summer?

Mandatory flip flops

My goodness (in reference to the mandatory flip flops), I am glad I was in a 4 people to 1 bathroom closed off place. While I still wore some footwear, I get the feeling that because it was just us, everything was quite clean.

do you guys actually wear the flip flops into the shower? i’ve always wondered whether people did that.

I heard that you can get ring worm or athletes foot if you don’t wear flip flops…???

Everyone wears flip flops as a sanitary step, but make sure they’re waterproof. Go to Old Navy and buy 2 pairs of their rubber flip flops for $5.

To every incoming students: flip-flops are ok for the first week because it is understandable to feel comfortable about hygiene and our prized feet. But
you get used to it and soon it will be a hassle to slip in them everytime
you take a shower after exercise. i personally never wore them in the shower
stalls because i like rinsing off body wash onto my feet.

I also happened to be in a stall next to a couple having sex. i think it happens more often in the spring ;]p

Foot fungus is very difficult to get rid of and you are more susceptible for recurrence once you’ve had it. Ewwwww

sorry for spelling “knew” wrong. i was in a rush

The worst thing about sharing a restroom with a whole floor is that you may wind up with several dumpers, meaning they dump all their crap down the sink, not just uneaten food!
