<p>I'm applying to Engineering as my first choice and probably Arts and Sciences as my alternate. A lot of what's in my engineering essay I could reuse in the Arts and Sciences one, but I wouldn't want to do that if the same person would be reading both. Does anybody know if it's the university admissions that read those essays? Or does each college have its own admissions team that would read its own interest essays? Thanks.</p>
<p>Both colleges have access to both essays. Your application may or may not be read by the secondary school (not many are). Note that applying primary/alternate does not give you “two shots” at getting in.<br>
