DS received his in the mail today. If anyone else received the online message saying, "Congratulations, you've been admitted to IU" around the same time we did, you should be getting your packet soon.

My friend that got accepted 4 days after me got his yesterday and I still have yet to get anything.

AimHigh, when did you receive the congrats notice online?

IU08, my son received the Congratulations message when he went online to check the status of his application on November 4th, then received a Congratulations email on November 13th.

Thanks, my son's should be coming soon, although we are farther geographically than you are. So maybe next week or so.

Edit to add: I didn't know there was a congratulations email. He hasn't received that yet.

I got the online status acceptance November 3rd and got the e-mail about 3-4 days ago. Im from NY though so who knows.

Oregonianmom and Slugger, I'm not sure how they do it. Maybe the delay is because you're both further away, like you said. I would think you'd hear something tomorrow or Saturday.

I think the emails are hit or miss. Everyone seemed to receive one two years ago but my son. In case you're wondering, this is what it said:

Congratulations! You have been admitted to Indiana University! IU offers students from across the country and around the world an amazing college experience.

Were sending your official acceptance letter and acceptance packet through the mail, but we wanted to give you the good news today. You can expect to receive your acceptance packet in approximately two weeks. When it does arrive, be sure to pay close attention to the:

I'm jealous :/ grats to you/son AimHigh

I got my packet on Saturday...

I'M IM!!! Just was notified 5 minutes ago!

I got in online on Nov 9, and just got an email today from DHL that read like so:
On November 16, 2007 a shipment label was printed by *******
of INDIANA UNIVERSITY for delivery to ******** of home. The
shipment number of this package is **********.

Sender's message:
'An admit packet with Kelley Scholarship info'
Todd congrats bro you deserved it.

So when you receive the packet- it will have scholarship information included or is it just deposit stuff and housing with a separate scholarship letter mailed later?

Generally, scholarship info comes with it unless you are being considered for one of the major scholarships--then that comes later after they've determined who the winners are.

Boston, thanks. Don't be jealous, just do what you have to do to get to IU. Sorry - unintentional Dr. Seuss-like rhyme.

Todd - congratulations!!! I guess you're not mad at your dad anymore? ;-)

Hpandu, you must have applied directly to Kelley. Good luck with your scholarship money!

And yes, the scholarship money was mentioned in my son's packet.

Congratulations Todd!

thanks I appreciate it all! can I set up my email address without the packet?

Todd, according to Calcruzer, who answered this question for you in another thread - yes - you are now able to set it up.

o yea i remember how you can find ur id number without getting the packet.

Todd, if you need your ID number in order to set up an email account, then I guess you'll have to wait for your packet to arrive.
