Who recently got into UCLA Undergrad Nursing?

Hey! I really want to go to UCLA’s School of Nursing, but there is only a 2.3% acceptance rate which scares. I am also OOS. Who recently got into the undergrad program? What were your stats (GPA, ACT/SAT scores, ECs, etc.)? Thanks!

  1. For 2015, (2016 data not available) there were 2155 applicants for SON with 50 admitted.

  2. Look at the Freshman profile for 2016 and see where your stats fall. You want to be above the averages due to the low acceptance rate. Remember these are not specific for SON. Also the stats are higher for OOS applicants/enrolled. Nursing also has a supplemental application along with the UC application.

  1. Why California? Nursing is very impacted at all California Nursing schools especially the direct admit. There are so many other Nursing programs across the country where you would get an excellent education with much higher acceptance rates. If you like California, come here to work after undergrad since we are always in need of good nurses.

  2. Is UCLA affordable with no FA for OOS students and a price tag of $55K+/year??

  3. You can search through last year’s CC admission decision thread to look for admitted stats. Use the magnifying glass at the top of the page and enter nursing.

That’s funny because a month ago you were posting this in a thread you titled “USC is my DREAM SCHOOL!!!”

@mikemac They’re both my number 1 choices. Can’t decide :slight_smile:
