<p>I'm from Poland and I'm going to apply to American Universities. But there is my question, in our schools there are nobody called counselor who help us with this whole application thing. If we want to go to universities we do it by ourselves. If I want to apply to US Universities I have to have counselor. Can it be any of my teachers from High School? And if my father works in my school, could he be my counselor or would it be bad because of recommendation which he has to give? </p>
<p>If you don’t have a counselor, per se, you can use any school official who will act as your counselor. Please make sure they know what this entails before they agree. They will need access to transcripts, etc.</p>
