Hello! Confused junior (class of 2015) here, so any/all advice is appreciated. :) Thanks in advance!

During the beginning/middle of junior year, I pretty much knew that I wanted to ask my math and English teachers for letters of rec, because I perform the best in those classes (A+'s both semesters) and I participate during class discussions as well. However, my math (Calc BC) teacher disappeared the week after AP tests ended because of "health problems", and I'm pretty sure she'll be back next year, but I'm not sure whether she'll be okay with me adding to her workload. On the upside, though, she already agreed to write me a couple of letters for summer programs- but I was rejected from every one of the 4 I applied to, though I have no way of knowing whether that was because of a lackluster letter or whether my essays were just bad.
As for English (AP Lang), he received his layoff notice last week, so I was wondering whether I'm still allowed to get a letter of rec from him if he won't be a teacher at my school next year. And, if I am, is it a good idea to? As in, would it be better to get a really good letter from him or a normal letter from a teacher staying at my school?
Apart from these two, I'm a good, but not brilliant, student in all my other classes. My AP chem teacher also wrote me some letters of rec for summer programs, but since I got rejected from all of them... there's also the fact that she's a pretty lazy teacher, as in we basically had free time/self study next year, and now, after AP testing, we just sit around and watch movies and play cards. So I'm pretty sure she'd be willing to write me a letter, but I'm not sure whether it'd be "strong".

Whew, way longer post than planned, but if you made it through, props to you and please shed some light if you can!! :)
