Hi folks. 
So I’m a rising senior. Soon I will ask my teachers for recommendations! I am absolutely sure I want to ask my AP Spanish teacher for my first one. I have a few options for my second teacher:
My AP English Language teacher: I feel like he knows me second best, after my Spanish teacher. He has led creative writing workshops in which I’ve participated, and I’ve done some good work in his class and gotten excellent grades. Plus, shortly I’ll find out my score on the AP exam, which I’m expecting to be good. However, I’m not sure if having an English teacher and a Spanish teacher shows a lot of diversity.
My Honors World History teacher: He writes really good recs. This also probably shows a little more well-roundedness, and I also got a good grade in his class. However, his class was seminar-style and asked for a lot of debating, and I honestly can’t tell if I was very good at that. I spoke a lot and tried to express myself, but I don’t know if he really likes me.
There’s also an Honors Physics teacher I could ask. She’s very kind and we’re close, but I’m leaning away from that option. Idk, gut feeling about her writing. I would only consider asking her if well-roundedness is super important when it comes to this.
If it’s helpful for you to know a little about me (idk if this matters for this?):
SAT: 740CR/740M/800W (10 essay)
SAT 2: Math 2 and Spanish taken in June, results available in a week
GPA: 4.03 unweighted (4.2 is an A+), most rigorous courseload possible, etc
Current school: Small, public, magnet arts school.
Schools I’m applying to: LACs to medium sized universities, including 1-2 of the smaller-sized Ivies. Swarthmore is probably my top choice right now.
Here’s the kicker: When I’m applying, I’m indicating my potential major as Linguistics. Does that mean that an English teacher and a Spanish teacher might be a good idea, as it matches my field of interest most closely?
