For this Fall: Econ 1 will be taught by Newhouse, Xie, and Foster

Math 20C will be taught by Eggers (full), Bucur, Lebl, and Zhang

Who should I get out of these? Thank you!

if you take econ with newhouse, we’ll be econ buds!
but i really don’t know, sorry. hahaha.

I’ll be looking to take Econ too.
I use ratemyprofessors.com to check these things.

According to it, they’re all with a fair amount of difficult, Xie with a strong accent.

sorry if this is off topic
when u take 20c, will there be review of the material covered in 20a,b in the first few weeks? or do you have to prep yourself for the first 2 quarters

yes, in 20c there will be a review during the first 2 lectures. Then you start learning vectors right after that

If David Bernotas is teaching econ 1, you should take him. I loved going to class cause of him.

wow… only 2 lectures??
are the materials in 20a,b difficult?

Slightly off topic question but if i got a 4 on Calculus AB my junior year, but didnt take calculus senior year, what math course should i be in? What about Econ? I got a 5 on micro senior year.

ECON1 with Newhouse sounds really interesting–he generally only teaches the advanced micro theory courses and have never heard of him teach a lower-division course. Hopefully he can ascent properly and not just teach a curriculum on formal math modeling.

20C, Eggers is one of the best–rest I haven’t had much experience with.

are the lower division econ classes easy?
