Who Still Hasn't Heard Back?

no no transfers yet

I’m a transfer and I still haven’t heard anything either.

i was actually told by the admissions office that transfers can take till April to decide.

still waiting for environmental engineering…

I hate to sound like a drama queen, but I’ve given up…three of my good friends have already heard back. It’s going to take a Miracle. Good luck everyone.

aww. this is how i feel too, thanks i got accepted to all my safeties! good luck baykid! i still hope a miracle will happen to both of us!

I am guessing, (and let me emphasize guessing!) that the notifications made last week were just the beginning, just the first round. my unofficial, unknowing, ignorant observation is that they let in the first round which were the higher scoring, FOR SURE admitted students in each college. admission notifications last week started first in the Agriculture college, then Architecture, then Engineering and Biology/Math, then Liberal Arts and Business. My guess is there will be another round or two this week of “Accepted” decisions, maybe into next week, acceptances, college by college. Then, the rejections will come last.

so, don’t give up hope. I think there are still lots of kids out there waiting. and, hopefully, lots more acceptance notifications coming!

^gosh, I hope so! When do rejections come out then? April?

BayAreaMom-there have been alot of kids from my school with avg, maybe even a bit avg stats that have gotten in-I think it is completely random, oh well

still haven’t gotten any word…checked the portal and it said “determination hasn’t been made” ahhh

i’m a coms major btw.

My daughter is also still waiting, Civil Engr.

Could there be any other pattern to the ordering, such as alphabetical?
(She is at the end of the alphabet)

No, sorry it isn’t that because my son is at the end of the alphabet and he was accepted to Materials engineering last week. I don’t think there is an easy way to tell how they are doing things. I do think that civil engineering is very popular and maybe they are just very busy with accepting students. I hope you will hear this week. We are going through the same feelings at UC Irvine. There have been many students accepted already, but not my son. His stats are above average there, but we haven’t heard. I try figuring out the pattern, just like you are. We are okay with him not going there, but an acceptance would still be nice! It is frustrating, but you will hear soon. It is so hard for these kids to wait (and us parents too!) Good luck!

One of my triplets was accepted (journalism–SAT 1350, 4.15 or so) and another hasn’t yet heard (psychology–SAT 1310, 4.15).

Their major choices were pretty random… hope psych isn’t going to hurt #2’s chances.

(#3 didn’t apply. At this point, I’m glad!)

did anyone hear yet from architectural engineering?!

I am sympathetic to your stress…I have one twin accepted on the 9th and the other one has “no determination”…same major…Parks, Recreation, and Tourism…GPA difference of only .13!! And so the wait continues!

Whaaat?! I didn’t know they were sending out decisions this early :open_mouth:
I haven’t heard anything yet, is this for ‘early decisions’???!

Nope, for regular decisions. Started on 2/9/10.

@mistariapotter

i applied arch e
still waiting :/

I just got an email an hour ago (although due to some failed database keeping, they actually had it on my portal for a few days).

I got my acceptance notice on the 9th, but the website says notifications will not be completed until April 1st. Don’t lose hope, my best guess for delays is your major was competitive or they’re sorting by name/application date.
