<p>Thats the dumbest thing i've ever heard. Im a two sport varsity athlete (recruited in track.. and thats sprints not long distance)and a member of both Deca and Student Council. Me and most of my other jock friends have already been admitted to some great schools. Being a "jock" is an amazing ec if your varsity b/c it shows amazing commitment and jocks tend to be the ones that have the most fun in college and the least trouble making friends. I just switched schools and being a jock helped me make friends easily b/c people kept coming to me asking me if i was going to a play a sport. Being a jock helps you make great friends w/ ppl with similar interests. I've also noticed that teachers (at least at my school .. but sports are pretty big here) tend to make jokes w/ and talk to jocks more.</p>
