So...i'm in a bit of a predicament

I'm deciding between usc bach/md with the trustee and an engineering research stipend and acceptance into their engineering honors program vs. mit.. I think i want to do an engineering major with a business minor and mit is top in both those areas, but i'm not 100% positive about medicine, yet! I know I wouldn't hate medicine, but I might like another field more.

btw...i also got into upitt's 8 year program with a full tuition scholarship and bu's smed program with no financial aid...so does anyone think I should consider these higher than usc or mit? It seems upitt and bu undergrad aren't as strong as usc or mit?

ANY advice or help would be greatly appreciated :) !

Take MIT if you aren't certain you want to be a doctor and want to explore other fields.

honestly, undergrad doesn't matter. pitt's med school > USC's med school.

however, if you AREN'T 100% sure that you want to even do medicine, go to MIT. it's not worth going to a school besides MIT if you're not 100% sure you're going to med school.

I'm just wondering how you pulled off your interviews at pitt. These programs are designed for people who are 100% sure they want to become doctors, and it would have shown through in your interviews if you weren't sure.

welll....i did get into med programs where they asked why i wanted to be a doctor and I could truthfully give genuine reasons, because its a really appealing profession to me...but pitt during the interview didn't ask me why i wanted to be a doctor...

isn't pitt the school that gives a you full scholarship for med school? If so, take that, can't beat it.

nah they don't - i must haev heard wrong when i told you - although i did ask my interviewer.

if they did that would be amazing......

tell me if you have heard otherwise?

I heard USC's Bacc./MD is crazy hard...

So where have you decided ?

did anyone check if upitt program really pays for your medical school?

i think they only pay for undergrad
