I just made it into Eleanor Roosevelt college. WHO WANTS TO SWITCH COLLEGES WITH ME???

ill take ANY colleges (preferably Revelle college).

:)

ucsd just emailed me:
"For newly admitted Fall Transfer students, we maintain a list of college change requests and facilitate those that we can accommodate on a one-on-one basis as space permits. That is, if a student from Thurgood Marshall College is requesting a change to Muir College and another transfer student from Muir College requests a change to Thurgood Marshall, we would be able to change their colleges laterally. The deadline to submit college change requests from Transfer students is May 26. We cannot guarantee that your college change request will be fulfilled due to limited space availability. If we can fulfill your request, you will receive an email acknowledging the college change."

Yes. The majors are same in every college. But for every college you will have to take courses apart from your major courses. For example, Roosevelt requires you to take 2 courses of MMW ( making of the modern world). Also, some colleges don’t accept IGETC… I am not too sure on that. Someone enlighten me! Lol

There’s no reason to switch from Sixth to Muir. Both of those colleges accept IGETC as fulfilling ALL of their lower division GEs and require 2 additional upper division GEs to take after transfer. Roosevelt, on the other hand, does not accept IGETC as fullfilling their lower division requirements and requires multiple additional upper and lower GE requirements after transfer, which is why the OP wants out of that college.

I got into Revelle with Phil major. Revelle was my 3rd choice, so I’m def not going there. I just got in UCLA, so I won’t be going to UCSD. i will decline their offer sometime this weekend (most likely) when I find out whether I’m in at Berkeley and how much finaid I will be getting from Cal. So far, UCSD threw the biggest finaid package at me. so not sure yet. but stand by :)

I to would like to give up my ERC spot if someone wants to give up their revelle, warren, or muir spot. let me know, i want dem maths and sciences.

Unfortunately, I got a ERC spot as well. I’m a philosophy major who picked Muir as I had intentions of double majoring. I’m kind of getting sick of UCSD’s bullshi&. I mean who sends you an email saying “Come to Transfer Day on May 7” when they only accepted you on April 27th…

I am a bio major and writing is my least favorite subject. 2 writing classes arnt that bad, but they are bad enough for a science major such as myself to want out.

^ understood. I love writing, and I suppose I forget that other folks dislike it. Good luck switching; it seems a lot of folks on here, like myself, were given ERC (I think my first choice was Marshall, I’d have to check). Whats the deadline for changing, if there is one? Can the MMW classes be taken at the end of senior year?

I got in Sixth which is my 4th choice, i wish i could get in either warren or marshal since i am engineering or muir. but Sixth is fine, it better than revelle or ERC in my opinion.
