My GPA will likely go up once I get this semester’s grades. I’m on a upwards trend. I’m looking to get over 700 on Math & CR, so I’m going to study OD. And yeah.

BU’s like my fourth choice after NYU, USC, and Chapman, cause I know there’s no way I can get into Northwestern or Columbia, lol. What’s it like? I’ve heard nothing but good stuff about BU.

I would say you're probably okay. I had similar stats (you can see in my profile) and got in. I also got into USC, but I'm sure applying under film makes it harder

Thanks! So, I'm just curious. Why did you chose to accept BU over USC? Was it the cost?

Yeah, film's very competitive, but I'm pretty confident that my short film will win me over.

Well once I got all my acceptances, it came down to BU and USC. I got reeeeally awesome financial aid packages from them both and I think the difference between the two packages was less than $1000 (USC gave me a little more). One of the reasons I chose BU is because I'm majoring in biomed engineering and they're in the top 10 for the program.

My other reason is kind of a strange one. All my extended family is from California, but my dad was in the military so I lived pretty much all over. Except the east coast was one place I'd never been and I wanted a change. I was in Germany when I applied to schools, never visited a single one, and the first time I ever went to the east coast was for my BU orientation haha

Hey, yeah I was a BU vs. USC kid too. I got into both and if I hadn't got into one, I would have gone to the other. Since I got into both though, I picked BU over USC.

USC gave you more money?! Wow, I'm surprised. USC's a lot higher ranked than BU, but then again I guess people really only want to go to USC for film, so yeah, lol. Hows the TV station at BU?

Damn, never knew BU had such rep, lol. You're not majoring in film right?
