Yeah, yeah. I hear that everyone "goes home for Thanksgiving." Who does not feel like going through the hassle and expense of flying back?

Ok. I know that the dining halls are closed, but we could make hotpot or something or make dumplings in our dorm, and have an UCLA Thanksgiving.

Anyone else feel like staying at UCLA for Thanksgiving break?

I'll consider it. But I want turkey, stuffing, gravy, smash patayters, cranberry sauce, wine, etc even if we have to break into someones kitchen and cook it dammit!

I did not go through the hassle and expanse of flying back - it would've been about $350 for the weekend. Instead, I had a few meals in Westwood I think (or was that the beginning of Spring Break?) I forget.

I didn't go home for Thanksgiving... because I am an unloved child. haha. nah, it was cuz I went home the weekend before that. Seriously though, don't try spending Thanksgiving at school if you live in the dorms... you will die of starvation. And boredom. I am thankful that 'll be living in my own apartment this year, so no more worrying about closed dining halls :)

I have experience the occasion, that while feeling alone, depressed and without family, of going to Albertson's and purchasing an oven-roasted chicken bathed in lemon, grease, and cilantro while picking up a box of REAL powdered potato flakes for its mashed state later on, and also, a package of powdered brown goodness inspired by gravy and chicken broth.

lol... i'm going to disneyland for thanksgiving. it's what i did last year, too. you'd be surprised how many people are there... even for dinner... and yes, you can get a thanksgiving dinner in the park (CA Adv, at least)
