My vision isn't very bad at all, but I still have glasses. I thought until just now that I would be spared from wearing the birth control glasses, but now I'm not so sure. If my vision is anything less than 20/20, do I have to wear those things? Thanks.

In short, yes. If on the DODMERB form you had less than perfect vision, they will issue you glasses. You'll get them on RDay and the cadre know who wears glasses and who doesn't. Take them and wear them, it's only six weeks. Plus, you get the really great tan lines on the side of your face!

Even if the prescription would be extremely small? My last eye exam I was told that I was at a point where there was a prescription available, but he didn't see the need to get it because it would be such a small prescription. I have perfect vision in my right eye, but 20/15? I think in my left eye. I don't remember exactly, I just know that I have a minor restriction on my DL requiring me to have both side mirrors.

We'll see what happens in a year's time.

actually, 20/15 vision is great and would be better than 20/20

I knew that sounded wrong, so probably 20/25 or so instead. I know it's just a little worse than the other. There's a reason I'm not an eye doctor;) I can't keep those things straight.

will they still issue them even if we didnt send the card bac that says we need glasses?
