<p>I read a theory that in the days before efficient glasses and contacts, the myopic part of the population couldn’t compete in sports or physical competetion, so they turned to intellectual pursuits out of neccesity. IE all the dumb myopic people got eliminated by natural selection.</p>

<p>I had to get glasses starting in 3rd grade, wore them all the way up to 8th grade when I finally got contacts. Then I alternated between the 2. Lost my glasses 2 years ago (parents still don’t know! shhh) and thus have been primarily wearing contacts ever since.</p>

<p>I wear them when I drive, watch tv/movies, or in class when I need to see a chalkboard or overhead or something. Otherwise, no…at least now…</p>

<p>The only time I wear my glasses are during class or driving. But lately, I have not been wearing them with the exceptions of my French and Math class because I sit far away from the board.</p>
