I was reading a thread about accepted students at HMC but most were either not thinking in attending or waitlisted. Who will enroll?
Yes, if you can't help giving your numbers, go ahead.
What colleges are you turning down? Why you chose HMC (I'm sure it wasn't for financial aid =)?
And..., if you are a girl, please let us know!!!

I will start.
790 M 600 CR 620 W Essay score 6 (After reading some stats, I don't know how I got in =) )
IIC 800 IC 760 Physics 710 Spanish 800 TOEFL 267

I was rejected from 13 colleges, and waitlisted at Wash U and Grinnell. I turned down just Colgate.

Reason to enroll: HMC (I think) is well above Colgate (my only other option) in the sciences.

I am an international student (neither asian nor indian).

Male

I just sent the deposit today; however, I'm still looking for funds.

I chose HMC because I think I'd get a really unique and extremely robust education there. After going to ASP, I'm unsure if I'd even want to go to Stanford or Caltech if I somehow got admitted from the waitlist.

I'd really like to go to HMC, but unfortunately another school offered me more money, which is kinda good and kinda bad. I wish you all the second best of luck!

I turned down a full ride + stipend + 160 student bioE department + Honors Program + predicted 3 year graduation to atttend HMC, where I actually pay a lot of money. It better be worth it.

SAT I: 800 M 700 V 730 W
SAT II: Math IIc 780, Math IC 770, Chem 750, Lit 690

Rejected: MIT, Stanford, Duke
WL: Chicago
Accepted: HMC, Case, Cornell, JHU, Tufts, NWU, OSU, BC

reason I picked HMC: horrible fin aid packages at every school but case and osu. I had a full ride to case, and the package to case and hmc were basically the same. Thank god for the 10k/yr scholarship hmc gave me, and the other grants for fin aid, truly a stellar offer. My parents convinced me today to choose hmc over osu full ride. Now I realize how happy I am that they did.

yeah and it looks like one of the last possible hours too lol. I'm not going to school today so I can run to the post office to send it in and watch it get postmarked. I'm going to call the fin aid office to make sure my package is final, because we had some issues that changed a lot of my packages before, but I'm pretty sure the one at HMC is final. I'm just paranoid. I'd be crushed if the fin aid package changed.

Maybe we should change this a little. How about everyone going to HMC puts some other info too? It would be cool if we got to know each other a little before we see each other next year. Just some ideas of mine (add or take away whatever):
