I'm not sure if I will or not. It's possible that they actually utilize the wait list more this year because a couple of schools took out EAs and a lot of people applied to about 20 different schools. But then again, I kind of saw the wait-list as a rejection and I don't know if I will accept even if I do SOMEHOW get in.

what are you all going to do with your index cards?

burn it and send the ashes back!
I'm probably gonna turn it down. I'd rather go to W&M and the two schools I'm waiting on I like more than Georgetown, though I doubt I'll get into either of them.

Same here; I'll wait until I get all of my decisions and then decide but I'm already set with the schools I got into.

Ps. I wonder if colleges actually get packages with burnt up/torn rejection letters :P That'd be a little freaky

O, hell yeah I'm accepting, PLEEEASSEE if you plan not to attend, turn down your name because there are so many capable students who have a true, undying desire to attend Georgetown, such as myself, who would do absolutely everything to attend!
The attached list with the letter showed depressingly low numbers of kids who got accepted from the list, so please be so kind as to revoke your name if you wish not to attend THANK YOU!!

Oh YEs, me too. I was actually honored when I found out about getting on the waitlist. There is hope!! Now for more 'expressing interest'?! .........Awwwwllllrightttt

I accepted but I've come to the realization that it probably won't work out.

I'm accepting, and holding a vigil or something. It was pretty depressing to get that skinny envelope. Does anyone know what we can do to help? Supplemental letters of rec? new essays? frantic phone calls?

I guess I'm gonna accept a spot to see what happens... Does anyone know how many people were waitlisted?
