Who will be with you when you open your admissions decisions?

I’m doing it with my mother and my aunt, who spent countless hours reading and editing my essays. I’m so excited for March 31. Fingers crossed. I’m making a YouTube reaction video, so I’ll see how that goes.

When I opened mine I was alone (kind of). My mother was in the room but she didn’t know what I was doing until she saw me jump in mid-air from my computer chair.

I’ll be next to my parents. Hopefully I don’t breakdown… :frowning:

I’m gonna be on spring break in San Antonio, far from where I live in Colorado. Probably gonna open it in the middle of the sidewalk somewhere, then spontaneously break into a run/scream, or just walk into a nearby ice-cream shop and eat away my sorrows.

I will be online at 5 PM sharp. No later.

If I decide to open it immediately, then I’ll be somewhere on the field with the rest of the track team, either jumping for joy like a weirdo, rolling around in the long jump pit like its Christmas, or moving on with my life. I’ll probably wait a couple of days to even open them, just so when all those nosey roseys ask me at school the next day I can just say I haven’t opened it yet.

@tola2015 I think you should open it as soon as you get it. If you get rejected, you’ll get over it. If you get accepted, then great!
You shouldn’t have to be secretive. I say be open about it to others and they’ll comfort you.

i’ll still be at school when decisions come out but I’m waiting until I get home to open with my parents

It will be 7am when I get my decisions (I live in Australia) so I will get up and go for a run, take my phone with me and check my decisions when I get to the top of a hill with a really nice city view part way through my run. If I get accepted it will be a really great ‘I’m on top of the world moment’ and I will sprint home to tell mum, but if I’m rejected I will pull myself together alone and then hopefully be a bit more sane by the time I have run home ahah

@sophpoph wish I could do that !! I was also planning on running, but running around backstreets at 10pm + with my iphone out doesn’t sound like the safest way to spend the day

@binatang‌ i’ve seen you in atleast 6 different college threads!! Lol

Home on my lucky couch (didn’t disappoint me once) and at around 6:15pm by myself.
