<p>I went and I loved it. The tour was a bit lacking but other than that I think it’s a great campus.</p>
<p>I saw a lot of partying and beer pong-ing in Isla Vista but nobody on the beach. I did see someone with a Floatopia t-shirt, though.</p>
<p>Yeah the reason why there was alot going on in IV (which I really don’t know why UCSB chose to host spring insight during floatopia) is because the police blocked off the beach for the day and wanted everyone who was attending floatopia to stay in IV because of safety hazards. that’s why there was alot of kids roaming around the street playing beer pong and partying. but at the same time floatopia holds many SBCC students as well as other students around all of california (facebook makes it easy to invite a large amount of people nowadays)</p>
<p>it’s a shame that some parents think negatively about the school when they see that going on, especially on the day of floatopia.</p>
<p>who gives about the tours in ucsb. . . . We all knew they were going to be extremely lacking anyways, due to the insight… :P</p>
<p>I thought the tour I took was informative and I liked the guide. He talked a lot about his own college experience and why he chose UCSB and it was actually really special. </p>
<p>It wasn’t as good as the tour I took at SDSU, and the UCI tour I took wasn’t particularly memorable. So in the middle, I think.</p>
<p>Now… I am 60-40. Davis-SB. Used to be 80-20…</p>
