Honestly, who would actually lack enough integrity and be cruel enough to steal a person's essay? (rhetorical question). I mean, wouldn't they be afraid of getting caught?

Moreover, has this ever happened before?

Even so, how would universities and colleges pick out who the original writer was? Would they just assume the first person to send the essay in is the original writer? Or would they just automatically reject both?

This is actually making me a bit nerve-wracked, because I've had a few people on here look at my essays.

Don't worry.. I don't think anyone on here would be stupid enough to steal your essay.. And Adcoms read so many essays, I doubt they would realize.. Unless, of course,, it's something really unique.. and if so, it should be easy to "prove" which applicant was the original author of the essay ;)

Well I just don't get how that would work..everyone has such different writing styles, and plus the point of the essay to show YOU..there is no way to convey YOURSELF through someone ELSE's writing..I don't think people acutally steal essays though..

Yeah porkfriedrice, your essays were so incredible, personal and unique, there is no way anyone could steal yours!
I'm still in awe of how GOOD they were! :)

Haha well have you read her essays?? They were really the most entertaining ones I have read of every one that I edited..BY FAR..
ahha really, though.. amazing job!

The only ones good enough to "steal" are too personal to actually do it. So the person who does try that wouldn't be able to make it work for them. At all. Because their experiences are totally different and might not fit with the rest of their app.
