kinda makes me want to declare IB now instead of MCB
Any thoughts about this?

where at ?

ib website

IB Human Biology and Health Sciences track was tailor made for pre-health students. Enjoy it.

it doesn’t seem to be all that different from the old curriculum.

anyways, i’m declared track 1. so excited. :D

Area 2 was a road block, so they merged it with Area 3. Also, genetics is no longer mandatory (you can take 160 or 169 instead now). The unit load was also dropped, and research units can now be used for the major.

The best change (IMO) is that you can “double dip” between the lab requirement and your group requirement. You can’t do this with the old curriculum, and it creates a lot more flexibility in the major.

wait if you’re declared IB, can you still take MCB courses? (There’s still some UD MCB courses I kinda want to take)

Yea, you can. You are allowed to use MCB 102 for one of your electives in IB and there are probably some other MCB courses that your faculty advisor could sign-off for you to use as an elective.

I changed from mcb to ib after reading about this.

screw mcb - too much stress and overcrowded

IB is where it’s at!
