Whoo! Cornell bound to Ghana bound!

Hi guys, everything was set for Cornell. Financial aid statement delyed. Came later with nothing after i'd payed acceptance fee and turned down other colleges, so i'm here in University of Ghana, working out the transfer. I hope i'll get some luck this time. I'm beginning again so let's talk lyk we don't know anything. Wow, dicovered the new usnews.com rankings yesterday. Princeton has now proven it to Harvard. Kinda hot!! Anyway, those who aint familiar with da site, it's @ best colleges-natinal universities on usnews.com.

i don't have much to add to this but im ghanaian and u of ghana isnt a bad school. yes, its not an american school but u could probably transfer easily from there to a top school. are you ghanaian?

Yeah, I am Ghanaian. It's nice to know you r also from Ghana. Didn't mean u of Ghana was bad at all but just hurt i cudn't get the chance to have ma college outside. Anyway where r u now n which schools r you applying to?

ohh i see. im at xavier u in new orleans...and considering u of chicago and nyu...if i dnt get into those schools then ill prob. just stay here b/c my major is really strong here

Yeah esperame, i was supposed to be a bio major @ Cornell but i'm doing the same thing here. I'd lyk to enter med school n it wont be much a problem here cuz we enter in the 2nd year; about 100 students selected from over 600, but i still wanted to pursue da medicine in the US cuz i lyk the kind of education. I'm still wondering if it's a good bid to leave when i have a good chance of entering med school. How difficult might it be for me as an international student n acquiring a green card so i can go to med school, how feasible will that be. I need thick advice. Tell me more about ur status there now n what u think of ma decision. Maybe you could make it a private message so we don't spoil the thread.
