VP of literary magazine, co-captain of academic bowl team--extra cirrics not extremely impressive, but I think I had good teacher recs

I do think that they are huge on SAT's. A good friend of mine and I both applied, and she was so much more impressive than I: second in class (I'm third), truckloads of awards, she's president and founder of at least four or five clubs at school, I would stake my life on the fact that she got stellar recommendations. The only thing that I beat her on was SAT, she was in the 1400's, and I was accepted for a scholarship program, and she wasn't.
I think Emory is looking to raise its image by raising the SAT range, but this is just an opinion.

Cute, Flash! If only I were 25 years younger.....

Well...I received an email from the admission office on Friday. I was expecting an rejection since last week, but it turned out to be vice versa.....
