Has anyone been notified?

The letters were mailed out yesterday (Friday the 3rd) to schools. I'm hoping/praying to be notified on Monday or Tuesday. Good luck to you/your kid!

Thanks...Good luck to you, too.

When is the press release posted??

There is no press release for finalists, since 90% of the semi-finalists continue on to be them and semi-finalist names have already been given to the media.

Have your schools heard yet?

I recall reading on their website that NM doesn't post a list of finalists, only semis. They leave it up to the schools to post/publicize their own.

My d received her certificate and letter today. Now she just needs to decide where she will attend (which schools offer admission). I guess that PSAT preparation paid off.

I havn't gotten anything, but my GC called since she couldn't wait and essentailly told me I made it, without saying anything official.
"I can't tell you, but do I sound worried" were her exact words, so I'm assuming I made it, which isn't much of a surprise.

well, I got notified today! what a good day...$75k towards OU (Oklahoma).

So you have $75k against 4 years of in state or out of state? How did they say you would be charged??? Just curious. What is your out of pocket then?

it's out of state, for 5 years. out of pocket as far as school itself is concerned will be under $1000/year, but traveling (900 miles away) etc. will be more than if I was going closer.

I was notified that I reached finalist status, along with 9 others from my Private school in PA.

***! GUIDANCE COUNSELORS WEREN'T AT SCHOOL TODAY!!!

argh.. one more day

congrats btw sooners.brian, cya at OU next year.

lol, standardized testing at my school today, all the classes were moved around and the principal and guidance counselors were probably too busy to let any of us know . . . either that or all 3 of us didn't make it, which, unless they didn't send it in, is extremely unlikely

We're still waiting here (Ohio)--nothing at school, no letter at home.

if you're all THAT impatient ***** to the GC to call up the company (not sure which one, whoever does it) and find out that way, that's how my GC found out, and I didn't even ask her to. I think she was more nervous than I was.

I am a finalist too. I actually didn't see the letter bc I go to a different school than the one that I was at when I applied, so I have just heard from my dad from my GC. What does the letter say? I am pretty happy, but I can't get too excited bc I'm still thinking about acceptance to colleges. Congrats to all!

Just wondering, how much did all of you study and how many times did you take the PSAT/SAT/ I studied the night before on each one and took each one only once. I really should have taken it more times but, meh, I'm lazy.

Oh yeah, just wondering, if I faxed the letter over to a school, would it help my chances at all?

I know, I need to just relax.

I guess there'll be plenty of time to kick back after April.

meh.

I took it twice, once in soph year once in junior year, and didn't study at all either time. I guess i'm just a good test taker.

yeah, I think that some people are just good test takers. What was your score?
