Who's applying ED to Penn?

i mean yeah its stressing me out but I don’t know if I see it as a problem

I’m in denial haha

Awww, I’m sorry that this is causing excess stress.
Happy Thanksgiving, and congratulations to everyone who has been getting in elsewhere.
Hopefully Penn feels the same as those schools’ admissions officers.

:)

QUINCE DIAS.

Does anyone know whether they read printouts of our information or they read straight off the computer?

I would imagine off the computer, but why would it matter?

Straight off the computer, per Admissions Dean Eric Furda:

…My life is going to be significantly shorter after this whole ED thing is over. This stress is going to be the death of me.

I was discussing with my mom which of us should check it first on dec 9th
And this wave of anxiety just hit me
I am really scared. Like scared to death. Gosh I’m gonna need stress handling advice

But…happy thxgiving :)

I guess it helps a little to know that there are thousands of other Penn ED applicants just as stressed as we are. I need something to look forward to during senior year and an acceptance would be the best thing that ever happened. Ever.

Is it weird that I don’t even care about Christmas coming, but I’m counting down the days until college results? Besides Penn, I also applied to Northeastern, UChicago, and Seton Hall early so I have lots of anxiousness building up…

The reason I ask is bc I listed a url for the nonprofit that I run in the Additional Info. section of my application but the tech support changed it and I’m trying to let UPenn know. So the link doesnt work on the app. So far no reply :((

Does anyone know to what extent this would negatively affect my app?

@mylife: I doubt that it’ll have a major impact. If you list the name of your website/nonprofit, the logical step when the link doesn’t work is to Google the company and find it. If they can’t find it after exhaustive Googling, then there might, might, be a problem.

Yeah, if you google the url I gave, the correct one pops up. I’m just worried whether they will take the step. And do you know how to get them to correct it? haha

@mylife Did you email them?

Does affirmative action negatively affect asians? (Daanaa haha)

Of course it does. Unfortunately.

i don’t think it affects all asians the same way, I think it depends

How so???

like…Chinese, Indians etc (overpopulated Asians) a minus
and people from philippines…malaysia…those small countries a plus

That…sucks.

yeah that’s what I was thinking
there are underrepresented countries within the Asian American over-represented majority
