where does it say that 10th december is ED decision date?
…for some odd reason collegeboard says its the 13th (i dont know on what basis)
but yeah…does anyone genuinely know what date decisions are released? thnkss :)

^ Last year, ED decisions were released on Friday, December 10th. The comparable Friday this year is December 9th, although decisions won’t necessarily be released on that date.

By the end of November or beginning of December, you’ll find out exactly when decisions will be released, and the exact time and date will be posted on this page:

Thanks so much 45 Percenter! I was wondering the same thing. One of my friends sent me her acceptance letters to Penn from last year - so I just assumed it’d be the 10th this year too. But I REALLY want one of my own letters haha.

Btw is anyone planning to send updated grades/transcripts within the next month to Penn or is that option more for Regular Decision applicants?

Thankss :)

This is going to be a looooong monthh

Did Penn optional essay. I initially did not plan to do it, but everybody kept on telling me that it’s almost a must for penn.

Wharton. Like everyone.

Yes, just submitted.

I didn’t do the essay. Seemed kind of silly, and I’m assuming that they know that I’m committed to Penn if I’m doing ED, plus I actually talked about what interests my in my Why Penn.

Let us wait 40 more days.

Mountaintoseize, which part of OC are you from?

So… just to keep this thread going and to help remind us all why we love Penn so much:

1) What is your favorite aspect of Penn?
2) Did you visit campus? What did you think of it?
3) Least favorite part about Penn?
4) You want to go there mostly because…
5) The first thing you’ll do if you find out you got in! :D

So give us your opinion on these questions!
And one final thing: is Penn supposed to be a hugely “party-oriented” school, more so than studies? Like I know Wharton is different obviously, but Penn as a whole?

1) That’s hard. I’m just going to mix 1 and 4 in this response. Penn is nationally ranked in computer science and has a strong biology program, and the specific concentration I want to go into combines those two together. I’ve met a professor who lectures introductory Biology courses there too, and he is so. freaking. chill. As for other activities, their concert and jazz bands are well reputed and, considering I want to play in college, their music programs satisfies me. Third, it’s Philadelphia, my birthplace, and it would feel special to continue my education where my life started.

2) I practically live at campus over the summers because of summer programs and lab work. It’s a great atmosphere but I’ve only had the summer uPenn taste so who knows.

3) The Quadrangle… unless I get placed in Carruth because those dorms are so amazing.

5) Um what do you think! Haha

I know that Penn is notorious for cliques and there’s a lot of parties but there are tons and tons of kids who study their asses off.
