Zirtico - I read through this whole thread and saw your previous comments on wanting to leave McGill. My S is considering both schools so I was curious why you were unhappy there. They both seem like great schools to me so I was wondering about the strengths/weaknesses of each school. Thanks

well, i’m applying to CAS. but they didn’t ask me to specify which college i was applying to when they told me may. so hopefully the woman i asked just said may so that i didn’t call again if i didn’t hear by the end of april?

last year got theirs at the end of april

Something to keep in mind as well - I remember last year that CAS evaluated sophomore applicant before evaluating junior applicants. If I recall, junior transfer applicants need to be cleared through their intended department to confirm that they have completed all of their pre-req’s. I am not sure if this goes for the rest of the colleges at Cornell, but I remember this being the case last year. However, I will admit, it seems like Cornell is ahead of schedule this year - I remember being late into April before my application was forwarded to the committee last year, but again, that’s just pure conjecture. I wish everyone luck!

I remember what it was like to be in your position 4 years ago…I wish you guys the best of luck!!

And stewartudall…Tulane? Are from New Orleans or elsewhere?

thanks dewdrop!!! I hope i will be able to walk and call myself a Cornellian soon!!

“Admission selection committees are currently reviewing completed transfer applications for admission to Cornell for the fall of 2009. We would like to send your application to committee for review, but we are missing important application materials”

I’m thinking it’s my midterm report or whatever that thing is called…but there’s no section to show that they’ve received that like the other things, is there?

if it doesnt have the green checks and all, i would call them and ask them what you are missing.

Actually, I spoke with an admissions representative yesterday from CAS and she said that my application was being reviewed and I would know by next week. Im soo nervous!

whatever, they are accepting all of us anyway

Armageddon, I’m liking where your head is at.

wow thats awesome! am i the only one baffled by how quickly they are doing this?!

Sigh… got an email saying they’re missing materials, even though everything has a green check mark next to it on the self-serve website. I’m guessing it’s that midterm report.

Also CSS not received… all they need to do is click download.

I found this on the self service website. Does this mean my application has been complete? Coz I found no checklist.lol
“Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review. Please refer to the requirements for your college(s) to ensure you have sent all the required materials to us.”
Thx a lot. Plus I am transfering as a sophomore to CAS.Good luck to everyone!
Soooooooooooo nervous now. I’m really afraid of having dozens of rejections.

Oh man I wish you all the best of luck!!! Lets hope that we get to see each other on campus!!! I can’t believe how fast they are working!!

anyone have an idea of how many transfers seem to be applying in comparison to previous years?

At least as many as before.

Anyway, I think we should do just that. Everybody that’s accepted out of CC should meet up in the fall on campus.

of course! :D

I totally agree! Hope, we all get in :)

Yeah, me too. I’ve grown to like Cornell so much from my visits, the friends I made, reading Uncle Ezra (you know all about it), and talking to you guys. It’s just such a fantastic place to be. Penn had always been my dream school, but should I be unbelievably lucky and make both, it’ll be a really tough choice. When I applied out of HS, I had a friend who chose Cornell over Wharton. Her decision made no sense to me… until now.
