The woman who I spoke to from CAS told me they don’t give decisions over the phone. I’m just wondering, do you have a special circumstance or something for why they’re going to tell you if you’re in or not over the phone?

The major I applied to is government. I don’t really have special circumstances, I just e-mailed admissions and told them I needed to know by May 1st and Cornell was my first choice. After that, I talked to someone in the front desk a couple of times and she said that they would give me my decision over the phone (hopefully by tomorrow). I doubt I will make it though CAS is soo competitive!

given the speed of this year’s evaluation committee (haha), i think the most of us here will know by may 1…oh gosh i’m really trying to tell myself that it is okay if i don’t get accepted. notice how i avoid the RRRRR word

haha im pretty sure u will be fine bitterlemon!! have hope!

congratz to the acceptees…cornell is a great place…cherish it

Thank you armageddon!!! I truly will cherish it!! I wish I could stay an extra year so I can make up not being there my freshman year!

Hey everyone. I’ve been following this forum and have just been too nervous to post. Now that it’s getting close, I couldn’t resist saying hello. I’m applying as a sophomore transfer to CALS AEM (yikes!) Congratulations on your acceptance dragon!

Thanks and i hope i will get to see some of u on campus!!!

dragon, is your online status updated with your acceptance yet?

No not yet. hehe…

Does anyone know if CALS AEM is more difficult to transfer into than CAS Econ?? I applied to AEM because I was under the impression that CALS admits more transfers than CAS, but in fact I am more interested in the CAS Econ program. Any thoughts? Also, dragon has Cornell recieved your midterm report yet? I sent mine out yesterday (midterm grades werent available until late) and I’m wondering if this will post-pone my decision. (I spoke to admissions and they said its Ok but they might review my app without it and then go back to it. My midterm grades are perfect and would def. help my app since my HS GPA was aweful.)

okay. i’m pulling an all nighter for back to back exams tomorrow…which means…

absolutely nothing for CC cause no one will be on this damn thing 4am. :D

Haha, if i were up then, then I’d be on. I’ve been checking every few minutes today…jeez. I’m waiting for this week to pass.

yep, zirtico, i’m hitting refresh on my status page; not that it will do anything, but it makes me feel better. :)

yeah they got everything… I’m so excited and I’m going to copy and paste of how my acceptance email looks like. I have deleted my name and replaced it with my CC name. I also replaced the website’s and the other person’s name with xxxxx. They also attached a PDF file of my acceptance letter and course evaluation. Hehe…
