Who's applying for Fall transfer 09'-Cornell?

yeah, i am also obsessing. alas. thank goodness i have a blackberry with easy access. :)

i wonder when CAS decisions will be posted. i’ll be checking at 1030 (130am EST)

dragon, did you get your NetID and the activation code? I found my NetID by searching my name on the online directory. Are they supposed to send you the NetID with the admissions package? And, did you apply for housing yet?

No I didn’t get my NetID nor activation code yet. I didn’t get my packet it. I hate snail mail :(… Where is the online directory? I didn’t apply for housing yet. I will as soon as I get my packet! Hehe!

Dragon:

[Cornell University - Search Cornell](<a href=“Choose Your Campus Location to Sign In | Cornell University”>Choose Your Campus Location to Sign In | Cornell University)

You can apply for housing before you get your package…I did that last semester. Use your applicant ID and current password. I was just asking because my housing application lists me as “freshman”…

EDIT: About the NetID, I got accepted last semested, and I still haven’t recieved an activation code :(

My name isn’t on there yet. Does it take time for it to be in the online directory?

Edit: I just got my acceptance email yesterday.

Yes, it does. It says my NetID was added on January 13th, which is about 20 days after I got my acceptance letter.

Oh wow, Dragon… my GPA is 3.78, too =P It was a 3.789, but they rounded down.

You’ll get your NetID activation instructions will arrive once you submit your admission deposit. Once you activate your NetID, you’ll show up in the online directory within a day or two.

Zak…since you were admitted for the spring I assume you’ve submitted your deposit…so you should have been able to activate your NetID and be able to use all the sites that require it. You should call CIT and find out what’s up.

Dewdrop:

I sent CIT a message and they said that they might have sent the NetID information to the wrong address(I think they may have sent it to my spring-2008housing assignment)…

yikes. guess i’ll be up until 130am tonight.

hey remy, when did YOUR stuff go “under review”? I think logically, I’m expecting a decision end of this week, or early next week.

mine went under review the minute the application website came back up from the freshman decisions. i expect a decision by this week…yikes.

I sent out my transcript on April 10 (my school had a quarter system) and they have not received it up to this moment. I thought they are not going to give out decisions until late April. Now that they have already sent out some decisions, I feel really anxious about my application. This is what I am confused. They told me that they must receive the material by April 21 or else they will withdraw my application. So how does the system work? Do they send out decisions one by one at different time? Today is not even close to April 21.
BTW I am applying to ILR.

Makes good sense…especially since Cornell was behind with spring transfer decisions.

I guess they are taking their good old time with setting up the new transfer students then, since they are ahead of time with the transfer application. hehe. Oh i figure if your a junior transfer, u might get ur decisions longer.

Actually, I am a first year and I apply for sophomore at ILR. I am really shocked that ILR releases the decision at such an early time. I mean, Brown, Penn etc all have their decision in mid-May.

Yeah I was shock when I got my email acceptance from CALS. I was like whoa its only the 13th… Not even mid april yet… I consider mid april to be like april 15… And i must say that Cornell has the nicest people on phone :)…

Yeah, remy I’d definitely expect a decision for you this week. Good luck! Why has time seemed to slow down for me so much more now that I know my decision is so close…

this is driving me crazy now! i had no idea they were finishing on ILR… and like remy, mine changed as soon as the freshman apps were done… im going to have a panic attack now

When people get decisions over the phone, is that typically because they requested them? Otherwise, how would the admissions office determine which people they were going to call and which people they were not going to call?
