lysports007, did you call the admissions office today?

i’m actually convinced that i will never be hearing back from them…ah. waiting waiting waiting, and nothing. too used to that.

I just called CAS admissions, decisions will be posted on the self-service accounts around May 1st

Xfer, are they going to be coming out all at once, or on a rolling basis?

via, yeah, i just called

you go to binghamton??? O.o me2me2

stewart, I would assume rolling because thats how cornell traditionally does it. Also, she said that they would be made available online starting around May 1st. starting, around…haha I dont like those two terms

are any of you binghampton applicants currently sophomores? if so, i know a couple of people there. a couple of best friends, maybe you know them. that’d be so weird, haha.

haha I hear ya, xfer. Before you know it “around” becomes May 15th.

this is why I dont see the point of releasing decisions rolling. True rolling decision is when applying earlier gives you an advantage, but cornell just releases decisions rolling, not admits them rolling. So then it just makes applicants more anxious if they dont hear back for awhile. They should just state an explicit date and say all decisions will be posted on that one day

lysport, another ILR transfer applicant! I think ILR has all of the others schools beat on CC. What are your stats lysport?

Yeah, a lot of people here want to be at Cornell, lysport

I know it, xfer - like I said last year, my opinion of the month of April has changed forever - for the worse. haha

So, for ILR, decisions are mailed out today. But when will our statuses change!?!

There has been no word on a status change. Looks like, from all reports, that we will hear first by mail. Status change may come sometime after.

I am not trying to be an annoying deutsch, but I feel that this is the only place I can complain.
I sent out all my application material in early March. Last week I got a mail telling me that my transcript has not been received. The next day I went to the administrative office at Purdue and ordered another transcript sent to Cornell and waited for another week. Not received. I decided to fax them after talking to a lady at the office. Not received.
I have been calling them everyday since last week. They told me to wait another day or two, but how can I risk my application being withdrawn?
Today, I decided to send it the 3rd time and fax them the 2nd time, and if they still dont receive it. I dont know what I can do. They said if they do not receive it by tomorrow (22 April), they will withdraw my application.
It has been quite frustrating. I do not mind being rejected by Cornell if they think I am not qualified. (3.96 GPA at Purdue, work experience, leadership positions, best essays I ever written) However, I would be very upset if my application was not even reviewed because of some administrative problems, after preparing the application for a year. Also, because I have to wait for their decision in mid May, I have turned down an internship opportunities and given a travel plan back home.
Ah. I dont really know what I should do. All I can think of is to type down my experience here. Thanks for reading.
