right, but you get a guaranteed transfer option as a transfer applicant, so i just call them both GT instead of GT and GTO. also i just texted you

Quick question for you guys,

did anybody of you submitted a resume?? I know im like uber late but yeah some circumstance kind of screwed up the whole entire thing a little. :D

Anyone got an ID yet?

I got it =D!!! Just now!

I got it as well!

I’m a GT for Spring, Humec. I’m entering as a sophomore and had to maintain a minimal GPA of 3.3. I was given 4 courses to take calc, bio1, bio2, stats. I completed 3 this summer and am finishing bio2 now. I was given GT because I didn’t have any sci or math from my freshman year. I actually did better in these courses and ended up doing 18 credits this summer.
I can’t wait till January!!
Good luck to everyone!!!

I finally got an ID as well. On this thread, it seems not many ppl are applyin for CALS…hope it’s the case to everybody who’s applying for Cornell coz I am applying for it!!

did u guys get all the ticks next to the things that you handed in via mail???

No, oddly enough I sent in my transcript in the same envelope as my college official’s report, yet the college official’s report was checked and the college transcript was not. Will call tomorrow.

they’ll probably need time to process everything.
i’m an international transfer, and it takes about a week for the mail from here to get to ithaca, but it says all the things which i sent via mail was not received.
should i call them, or wait a little longer?

i sent my college transcript forever ago and still unchecked too

i sent in my college official report two weeks ago and it isn’t checked off. Neither is my college instructor evaluation which I’m pretty sure was sent in awhile ago. hmmm…i hope things didn’t get lost in the mail.

on a better note, i went to my off campus interview today and actually really enjoyed it :)

What would happen if things do get lost in the mail?

they let you know and you resend it, it’s not a huge deal as long as you can get them to them by the time they start reviewing apps

Thank God because I’m having a hell of a time trying to get this college official’s report. First, I e-mailed the dean of the college of arts and sciences several weeks ago; she never responded. Then, I e-mailed my academic adviser who told me to call her and when I did, she subsequently told me to call the office of the dean of students (strangely enough, the dean isn’t in this office.) So then, I called the office and left a message with the receptionist; no one called me back. After this, I sent an e-mail to one of the reps. of the office. They e-mailed me back and told me that they were going to forward my e-mail to the person in the office who handles those types of forms in the office; that person never e-mailed me back after the e-mail was forwarded to them. So I finally got the number to the person who received the forwarded e-mails and gave them the forms today, but then she called me back and told me that I needed to give them to my academic adviser to fill out.

And that, kiddies, is how my last couple of weeks have been :)

from last time i learned that my official’s form needed to be completed by 3 offices, so i went to my advisor first so she’d have time to write a semi-recommendation in the “elaborate about your relationship with this student blahblahblah” part then personally went to the other 2 offices on the same day and foisted my presence upon the poor souls working there. i’m going to call on monday to make sure it was sent out, as it should have been this passed monday. i’m submitting my application now and i’m actually really confident because my essays are, in my opinion, fabulous.

I wish I had fabulous essays :(

you have really strong writing skills, don’t worry. i didn’t see your academic interest one, but your common app one was written very well. once the deadline has passed, for anyone interested, i’d be willing to swap essays with people.

Thanks, dude.

I was just kidding really. I think my first essay was decent but I guess I’m really not used to writing in such a succinct and elementary (for lack of a better word) manner so I wouldn’t be a very good judge of the quality. I guess it’s something I still have to get used to.

I’ll forward my academic interest essay over to you soon if you don’t mind.

Ugh it says they haven’t received my college transcript, instructor’s evaluation, and college official’s report. This online tracking thing is going to drive me nuts haha.
