<p>I’m actually going to ask for midterm grades next week from all of my professors, even though it’s a tad early (like 2 weeks early), but I think my second week of work has improved and I’ve got this chem midterm down.</p>
<p>Turns out the key to doing well in critique is to go near the end, when everyone’s tired and just wants to get out of class (including the teacher). Yay!</p>
<p>I’m feeling better and better about this as time goes by. Would anyone like to read my essays just for fun =x? I’ve already sent all of them in, so I can’t change them, but it would be nice to get some feedback on opinions about my situation, or my fit for CALS, etc. etc.</p>
<p>ps. I submitted my supplement online on 9/30, and it’s still unchecked in my self service check list? Don’t they normally get the online stuff right away?</p>
<p>Don’t sweat it. I’m not sure how it works, but I believe that although they receive the online forms almost instantly, they have to actually review the forms before they can check it off. If it’s still left unchecked in a couple of weeks, then that’s when you should give them a call. Either way, you still have proof of your submission through the common app website.</p>
<p>And thanks for agreeing to read my essays. I’ll send them momentarily. The first essay is well over the 5000 character limit, so I’ll have to send it in two parts.</p>
<p>Yeah John, mine was also sent on 9/30, still unchecked. They’re probably going through each students at once, so they haven’t gotten to everyone’s. Like whoever called the office said earlier, it’ll be next week when they should be caught up on everything. Then they’ll start sending messages for anyone missing items.</p>

<p>Really, so like, the first week of November!? That’s great! Here I was thinking it would drag out…guess I definitely have to ask for my midterm grades once my first chem test is complete. That won’t be until the 20th, though. Guess mine will be on edge until then…hopefully having nice grades by then will put me in good standing. Gah, waiting…</p>

<p>Guys, just a word on decisions, if you haven’t caught on yet:</p>
<p>THEY DON’T COME OUT UNTIL LATE NOVEMBER. At the earliest. Chances are the waiting game will stretch up to Dec. 15. So you all better take a deep breath =)</p>
<p>Anyway, I got all my stuff in except for the midterm report. They expect that before Nov. 1. My Cornell account shows that they didn’t receive my supplement yet, but that might take a few days since I just submitted the app.</p>
<p>Maybe we should just create a yahoo group where we can all send our individual essays to each other for critiques and everyone has the chance to add their input. </p>
<p>It’s just a thought since my PM box is getting full and it’s annoying to have to deal with these character restrictions.</p>

Also very sad to hear that we won’t hear until maybe even December. I’m hoping we’ll know at least before Thanksgiving, because I have some Cornell-related plans for that vacation haha.</p>
<p>But one would think they’d give us an earlier notification if they’re going to make us submit a month earlier =(
Ah well. Can’t get my hopes up.</p>
