Who's applying for Spring transfer 10'-Cornell?

Yeih, my instructor evaluation has been checked off and my other professor said his will send his LOR today, early in the morning (that is if the general strike, that has stopped Puerto Rico, will permit it.) WHOOOPEEE!

East- Thank for your review, I sent you a reply for each essay ;)

my app has been under review for over a week (maybe 2 weeks?)!

i want my decision (read: acceptance) :)

also, do you think it’s sad that i have humec’s phone number memorized? haha

Ironic which section in the self service does it mention your decision?

i don’t have my decision yet. last year’s spring kids got a button or link of some sort that said something about finding out your decision online, but for the fall we got regular mail. some people get e-mails also, but i didn’t get one last time around.

Jemma, I got your e-mails this morning; I’ll respond after class.

Ironic, at least yours in under review and you probably have one or two more weeks left to find out your decision (I read somewhere that you’ll find out 3 to 4 weeks after your application is been under review, something like that). Mine is still in limbo lol I also the CAS number memorized lol Its not sad… its i don’t know what it is lol

East- Awesome :)

My application got forwarded for review on the 7th, so I’ll hear back within the first week of November?! =D
November 4thish. This sounds good.

Should I call and make sure they got my AP and SAT scores? That’s not on the checklist, but I think it’s a very important part since my college activities don’t exactly show my interest in science.

you could. oh snap, i didn’t even really think about sending my scores again because i thought they had them. i didn’t think about calling to remind them to add it to my application. oops. maybe i’ll do that. but i did self-report my AP scores so that should be okay.

Are you guys sure the decisions will be out this early? I’m pretty sure they’re gonna wait till early December. In the spring, I went under review on April 4th, got my decision on May20th.

Hey guys, question, for those of you who received transfer info packets in the mail, did you already have your app/all forms turned in way prior to receiving it?

Or better question, who HASN’T gotten a transfer info packet yet? I haven’t, and I kind of wanted to use the midterm grade sheet they provide in it to collect my grades. I think I got a B/B+ on my first chem midterm (we have two…midterms…so they’re kind of like, 1/3-terms lol) so I’m looking OK in that class. My other three classes should be As, I just have to wait until the end of next week to get them.

Then in the last week of October, my chem teacher signs off his grade because I wanted to wait until I have enough good grades in to do that (just so I have a B/B+ for sure). So they’ll get my midterm grades 3-4 days before Halloween. Hopefully a decision follows closely after that!

i didn’t get a transfer packet yet. viola, what do you mean when you applied in the spring before? and i’m also anticipating a decision in december, but the website says that decisions will start coming out 4 weeks after yours go under review but can keep going for an additional 6 weeks after that. i just hope mine comes soon. also, water, you can print out the midterm report sheet alone from the commonapp website. that’s what i used

viola, are you going to transfer day?

Thanks, ironic, I’ll print that next week. Yeah, but I don’t think it’ll be December. They have considerably less applications to go through for spring semester applicants…I’m going to guess they’ll release the decisions the week before/of Thanksgiving. They can’t cut it too close to when we need to accept decisions/process financial aid stuff/BE ON campus, etc…

I’d say the very latest you’ll find out is December 1stish. But hopefully before for all of us :X

Viola, your last semester decision was quite late. My NetID was screwy last time so I couldn’t check when I went under review, but I handed all my materials in by the first week of April, including grades, then got a decision on May 5th, which is when like, 90% of the Facebook transfer group got theirs. So I’m not sure why yours was back-logged like that…

viola! if you go to transfer day, i’ll go to ILR. i was gonna sign up with ironically because i was afraid to go to ILR by myself haha

oh and as far as the “forwarded” thing goes, DONT WORRY ABOUT IT!!!

you still have atleast a month of waiting to do :[ i submitted my stuff for the fall in march and got a phone call in june… i wanted to DIEEE haha

however, spring has far fewer applicants and im pretty sure room assignments for new transfers come out december 1st? so i guess it has to be sometime before then

Brandnew, will you read my essays? I’ll be your best friend if you do.

haha surely, pm me

Hi everyone.
I think we’ll know our decision earlier this year because our deadline is earlier than last year’s.

Brandnew, thanks, they’ve been sent.

According to this admission timetable all admissions and awards should be communicated in November: [Cornell University Undergraduate Admissions Office - HOW TO APPLY](http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/transfer/timetable.cfm#spr)

Last year, the decisions notification was listed as during the month of December, and most everyone on college confidential heard in the first week of December, so I’m hoping that the same thing will apply to us (except a month earlier). Check out last year’s thread for Spring transfer 09 Cornell to see what I’m talking about.

No transfer packet yet, I think.

Psych professor happily put down an A on my midterm report, and I know my chem teacher’s going to give me an A. As long as the last 2 grades are above a B (they’re both art classes) I’m content.

they never do things according to their time table, so i’m just going to sit and twiddle my thumbs until something big comes in the mail hehe

i’m so impatient. i guess waiting for the second time around makes it even worse! i wonder if i’ll know by transfer day or not. i’ll definitely make sure they know i applied when i go up though so they see i’m still really interested in the school.

as for rooms, i would LOVE a single in a suite in either alice cook or carl becker. really specific, i know haha, but i just know what i want and where i want to be. that would be really awesome if it worked out like that though.
